That was the teensiest bit hypocrital, because I write songs. Fortunately, unlike the kids, me and my friends then play them in front of an (admittedly small) audience at the pub.

Now here's my real problem with the kids. We have a pub called the Black Dog, that used to do alternative nights every Tuesday. Only one in the town, everyone would dress up, go down there, listen to some awesome music on an awesome PA system and get wrecked.

Then it became gig night. And the emos showed up in droves. They can't get inside (they get IDed and kicked out - fortunately I invested a couple of years into getting on a first name basis with the staff when it was still alternative night) so they mill around outside.

I don't go anymore, they annoy me so much.
