Hey all, I've been doing some thinking lately, and would like to know where everyone else's opinions lie on this topic.
The Marauder: A frenzied, lightly armored berserker warrior among the Chaos legions. We know a few things so far. We know they fill the role of Melee DPS for their race, a role which in general is said to best caster/support characters, while suffering certain drawbacks against the tanking archetypes. We know also that they dual-wield, in a manner of speaking. The fact that their offhand can mutate into various useful shapes (each complete with their own unique special abilities and general statistics) gives the Marauders an adaptable and unpredictable role on the battlefield, and while DPS will always be the prime factor in that role, their chaotic and evolving nature will do wonders against their enemies' ability to counterattack, and especially against their enemies' morale.
But how would they fare against the most dangerous of enemies? How would they fare if they came face-to-face with the dreaded creatures of death and bloodlust known as Marauders?
So far all we know about Marauders is they are frenzied, lightly armored berserker warriors serving the Chaos legions. Given our current knowledge, and especially given the vast stores of lore afforded us all by some of our more devout forum-going friends, who is most likely to win in a fight?
I'm leaning towards Marauder myself, but a few close friends of mine have insisted that it would, in fact, be the Marauder, rather than the Marauder, who would stand victorious, due in part to a fuzzy half-second clip of a tooltip they saw in a video from a recent game show, and due also in part to the fact they own every edition of every Warhammer product ever printed, and at least 5/7 of the editions' Chaos army books swear up and down that Marauders are generally superior to Marauders in melee combat (which, of course, will be what they do in the MMO)
