It's pretty much a given. Let's look at the facts first:

1.) Unnanounced class for HEs is Melee DPS.
2.) We were told HEs would have a pet class.

Now at the speculation:

Lately, a lot of things have hinted at the White Lion as a player class, including:
1.) the zone overview for Chrace.
2.) the Artwork at that Danish game show, depicting a White Lion.

But I digress. On topic: I wouldn't actually be disappointed with a White Lion.

Just so I am feeling you correctly:

You are upset because you wanted White Lions to be in, but you wanted them to be able to kick major booty without a pet running around getting in the way or what not.

Nah, melee pet classes rock, and I like the White Lions flavor. However, are you unhappy because you wanted a diffrent class, or because you don't think White Lions should be a pet class? Both are understandable, espicially in these circumstances.

I wont be disappointed because if I go elf I will definitely be going archmage or shadow warrior.

I can understand your point of view though, white lions are awesome and its more awesome (at least for me) to be in the thick of combat without a pet that is virtually half of my character.

Are you kidding? Disappointed in a melee DPS pet class, hell no. I can't wait to wade into battle just me and my pet fighting back to back. My only problem with the class is it is in order not chaos.

I've never really liked pet classes myself, but my favorite high elf TT units are white lions. We can only hope that there is an option to not use the pet and not gimp ourselves...

I won't be disappointed. I've always liked pet classes in most games and a melee DPS pet class sounds even better to me.

I was wondering how much DPS the pet could do and if you didnt have em out if you would gimp yourself. Like in that other game Huntards usually don't have their pets out in instances or Raids sor if it an integral part of your DPS does it have the ability to play "smart".

I hate all elves and the fact white lions look interesting to me is highly disappointing. But i have a feeling that's not the disappointing you were thinking of.

I cant wait to see what Mythic has in store for this class. When I first learned of it I was not very happy as I wanted the Dragon Knights in game (The Iconic High Elf class) but now I think the White Lions would be a great addition to the HE army.

While most of our guild is leaning toward Shadow Warriors we do have a growing number of them that are wanting to run with the White Lions.

You don't know that for certain...

Everyone seems to be automatically assuming that the pet is a "must" for the melee aspect of the class to be viable, when chances are there'll be the ability to either go uber melee OR uber pet w/some melee.

Just like Swordmasters can go shield OR 2h sword... a White Lion is most definitely going to be able to go strong melee OR strong pet.

I'm with Festo, I hate elves as a general rule. Yes, I know that makes me a bad person. But I dont give a . But the white lions look very interesting, cant even really consider them elves anyways. I mean, lets go down the list. Manly? check. Dont enjoy doing their nails? Check. Probebly buck against the universal love of unicorns by their race? check. I hate to say it...but I like a High elf class. *turns in his elf hating badge of honor.*

I will be upset if the Lion is just added dps and thats it. The characters skill list should be split up between the elf and the lion. Of course balanced a little heavier for the elf but the lion shouldnt be auto assist or attack and thats it.
