Archmage Lore/novels

Hello all,

I'm looking for a good read that covers high elf lore, specifically archmages. There are several books that I have seen recommended on the forums but they deal primarily with dwarfs, skaven etc. I have been reading the high elf armybook but I'm looking for more of a novel rather than just general information.

I don't know about novels but, naturally there is a wiki on them. The army books usually have a lot of lore, I don't know about the latest books though.

I don't know much about elves but, you may want to look in the Black Library for novels about them.

As far as I know, there is no novel that deals with them

Defenders of Ulthuan (http://www.blacklibrary.com/product.asp?prod=60100281040&type=Book) is released this month in the UK, and January 2008 in the rest of the world. It's not specifically on Archmages, but it does tell a story entirely from the perspective of High Elves, and as you can see in the example extract (http://www.blacklibrary.com/pdf/defenders-ulthuan.pdf), characters like the mage Daelis show that there will be mages in the book. Also, Teclis and the Everqueen Alarielle are mentioned to also be in the book and they are the most powerful mages in Ulthuan.

Thanks mate! I'll have to check that one out. I guess I wasn't very clear in my first post, what I want is a book about high elves that has archmage characters. That book sounds perfect.

Another option is the Gotrek and Felix novel "Giantslayer" - archmage Teclis plays a major role in the story in this one.
