Ok, so dumb question. What are the ranks some people have next to their forum name? How do you get another one? I am thinking it has to do something with post count.....is there a thread somewhere that tells you what it is?

Indeed. The ranks are dependant upon your post count. Serf, Warrior, Sergeant, Captain, and so on. The actual numbers aren't important, think of it as a pleasant surprise when you move up a rank ;)
