Props to Dammaz Kron - Best Black Book I've found

I don't see an official annoucement of this addon and it wouldn't feel right to make one for another author, so I'm making this thread.

This addon is beautiful. Keeps tracks of kills / deathblows / etc just like the others, but this one is fully integrated into the ToK.

One heads up. It's not yet integrated with the curse client due to weird issues between curseforge and curse (or something like that). It will eventually be there, I hope.

Ya, I assumed curse would fix that soonish so I didn't mention it in the first post. All new addons are having that issue.

by the way: If you are using the Curseclient, u can still download Dammaz Kron via CC even if it doesnt show up @ the "find an addon" list.
Just use this link (psyn://addonservice.curse.com/AddOnService.asmx/GetAddOn?pAddOnId=17126) to start ur CC and auto-download the addon.

I should specify the LibSlash dependancy, but as almost all addons use it, I forgot it.

Yeah, I have LibSlash. Installing the version before the latest release made it work for me. Not sure why the newest won't run though.

Ok, the new version ( 0.601 ) is out.

Because of a problem on the update function, people using version 0.600 without having played with a previous version was unable to initialize the addon. Sorry about that... :cry:

This new version should fix the problem even if you already have 0.600 installed. But settings could be reset to default (however RvR data should be ok).

I will keep reading here and on curse.com to check if there is a problem (i hope there is no more problem, i made tons of tests :rolleyes: )

There was a bug in version 0.600 - Valkea (the author) has released 0.601 which fixes the issue.

Wouldn't it be really cool it you could do it with healing as well.. you have been rezzed by person X 5 time and have rezzed him 8 times.. you could almost have a game against healers you team with most of time, who rezes the other the most in a session.. you could also have total amount of healing on the person. It would be a new kind of black book, a book of fluff and lightness... well until you realise you've rezzed Philbob 100 times and he has never said thanks.

btw Dammaz is brilliant, I never thought it would be a worthwhile download to have, never been a fan of black books, but having a messages on the screen saying score 0... You think.. yay were even now.

Unfortantly, there is no way of knowing who has rezed you. Nor if your rez is succesfully in rezzing someone. :( But I like this idea :).

I will investigate the UI possibilities to parse this kind of informations, and if i can find something good enought, i will try to make an optional Dammaz Kron dependancy to register healers RvR actions (I play healer myself as main character). But as Moron said, i guess that the more interesting informations won't be accessible ;)

Downloaded this, even suggested some guildmates get it. They did, and it's unanimous that we wish we'd had this sooner, so we could have stats going further back.

For me, really enhances the oRvR experience, as it gives me more feedback on how I'm doing.

The healer fluff would be interesting. What I am curious about is there a way to edit DK so that the score is based on Victories/Deaths instead of KB/Deaths?

As a healer I get some KB but not alot and alot of my scores against WL/WH are negative. However by keeping my team and myself up I have far greater victories over that person. So my score being 0 kb / 7 deaths = -7 is not as appealing as 11 victories / 7 deaths = 4. Etc,

I think I will have "by user request" to add an healer option to count a percent of the victories in the score.

Score formula would change to the following :

Healers Score = ( Deathblows + 20% of Victories ) - Deaths
Non Healers Score = Deathblows - Deaths.

I need to make more test to find the good %, 20 is maybe to much if we want something not too easy. Furthermore the % coulb be different for each healing class, because a DoK obviously do as much Deathblows than another DPS career for example... so it do not need the same % as a Zealot or a Rune priest.

I would be glad to read what healers think about this.

Check the options, this was added in recently (last week maybe?). Make sure you have the most recent version. Much better now!

- LifeTime Scores now use Dammaz Kron totals instead of WAR RvR variables (War deathblows variable is buggy).
- Now register deathblows done after death (with DOTs).
- Now optionnaly display "Score" in Moth tooltip if this addon is installed and enabled.
- Now optionnaly display "Score" of the current hostile target in a window registred to the layout editor as "DammazKron HTS".

- Fix a bug where Dates were not updating if there was no new chat entry (this is the only way to get the current time).

- Fix Dammaz Kron bookmark clickable area.

I tested it a lot, and abpongo helped me a lot with Russian version, so i hope it is bug free.

Yes this is intented. The details of your previous RvR events are not registred by WAR, so we can't use them.

No this is the path where addons store their "data" not the path for the addon files.

Here is the good path :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\interface\addons\

You need to create those directories, because they do no exist by default.

a) This is all for the best, really. Hanging on to old data will have you fixing the same mistakes over-and-over again. IMO, you should dump your history whenever you reach a significant milestone and/or change up your play in any way.

Current data is the only way to see where you need work now.

I really like this addon but the texts that are should after kill(s) could be better in my opinion, personally I like the way Book of Grudges shows them - DK version is way too long or at least allow to customize the message without messing with the lua files :)

I find this is better than not. Means I know who's been killing me, and can deal with them before they repeat the process.

It is indeed an excellent tactical tool. I find that most times, people kill you because you weren't paying attention to them.

You could spend weeks practicing to make sure you have your blind spots covered OR you could spend 10 seconds and take note of who's been abusing those blind spots and get them before they get you.

P.S. Destro players, I am but a humble engineer who can only stack tiny dots, which everyone knows are made completely insignificant by the abundance of hots I'm sure you're all sporting. Any deathblows I get are purely the result of my dot ticking right after someone else did the brunt of the work.

So pay no attention if, by some miracle, I should show up in your Dammaz Kron.

SUMMARY
- This is almost the same as the previous version but compatible with WAR 1.2
- Now delete old datas if we create a character using the same name as a previous one on the same server.

A major new version is coming soon, but first I want to be sure this version is ok with the incoming WAR 1.2 on live servers.
