Post your favorite hypathetical situation for the Runepriest in a group. Here's Mine

Its a lower tier RvR zone. Our group has 6 and thier group has 12. Before the fighting start I place Oath Rune of Fury on my teammates (all of them!). Oath Rune of fury grants a chance on hit damage bonus to attacks. When broken it causes an AoE explosion which damages nearby enemies. Imagine, we run into all 12 enemies, and we break our oath runes simultaneously! The enemy is badly injured. Some die quickly, some are healed, and others remain wounded. While I am applying some basic oathrunes and casting some spell runes (maybe even dropping a master rune if there is one available early) they finish off some of the wounded. In the process we succesfully take out a squig herder, a shaman, a choppa, another squig herder, and a black orc. By this time my rune network is setup.

It is now 6 on 7. Some of them are still a bit damaged. The remaining shaman has been trying to keep alive his allies rather frantically and has left him a bit drained. Despite his efforts they could not be saved by our initial opening devestation. The rest of his group are at full strength now and are ready for a fight.

The Shaman does not have enough action points remaining to generate Waaaagh enough to heal more efficiently. As a result his damage and healing are periodic and lack luster. Instead of focusing on him we take out his group first. They try to damage our hammerer who is beating down the remaining squig Hunter. I keep him healed and our ironbreaker protects him his best. Thier focus fire overcomes the hammerer but not before he can take out the squig herder. We have melee and ranged while they are limited to melee and thier warn out shaman. The grudge gained from the enemies taking down the choppa empowers the ironbreaker. Despite out losses we retain our strength.

An engineer strikes rapid fire at the black Orc who is tangoing with our remaining hammerer. I help my throwing rune of mending on my ally and rune of striking onto the head of the black Orc. He is tough but the three of us are able to take him down. The hammerer is injured and I am low on action points so I must be conservative.

Remaining it is Our Ironbreaker, our hammerer at half mass, me, and our engineer against two choppas, and thier shaman who has waaagh accumulated and can now through more regular heals. It will be a tough fight since I am running low on action points.

The Shaman is now a threat that must be eliminated. The Ironbreaker taunts a choppa who comes for me and the other heads for the engineer. The engineer cannot shake him. The hammerer however is free and runs for the Shaman.

The Shaman has a hard time fighting back and is beaten with the help of some fire from the engineer. I am busy trying to keep alive the engineer. My action points are regenerating. I grant an oath rune of fury on myself and the ironbreaker and run in to assist him with the choppa all the while healing the engineer as best I can. The Ironbreakers grudge allows him to swiftly overpower the choppa (I only help with the last small chunk of his health). We run over to the engineer. The Ironbreaker takes the remaining choppa off of the engineer, but it is too late. The choppa is in a frenzy and finished him off despite my efforts. Then the battle comes to the ironbreaker and the choppa. They are both at thier peak power for the lower tier. They clash.

The Ironbreaker's tanking style gives him the advantage. I focus mostly on rune of striking and only heal once.

With two of us remaining, the 6 of us defeated 12 of them. Teamwork prevails.

Ok so I am in a group of 5 empire players and I am the only Dwarf among them. On our way to enter a pvp scenario we encounter a lone bold Marauder.

He finds himself trapped by my rune of binding and cannot get away. He makes a /cry emote but we do show him mercy. The group beat on him all at once. Our combined offense takes him down in seconds. We then all mock him by /cry'ing until he respawns.

I think runes priest and engineer sound like the most interesting classes to me idka bout being a dwarf but its a "short" price to pay for being a great class

I totally agree. I want to add that it would be a tough fight and that for the Oath rune of fury group breaking to be effective all the enemies would have to be very close. The Range I saw in the video was close to point blank.

I misunderstood. It appears that the rune was bugged in the demo version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yPSNx8IagI

Notice when he breaks the rune nothing happens.

Yeah that sux id love to see a demo of its radius. But anyway i cant pick between a Runepriest or engineer i like the idea and play style of both? which is better pvp and has more survivablilty do you no? also i came from a Wow mage its was ok i didnt like being squishy but i didnt mind it since it was a trade off for dmg but i dlik to be somehwere in between rather than one extreme or the other. hmmm. Both careers are certainly capable in Player versus player or they wouldnt fit into WAR. They perform very different roles. Both the engineer and the Runepriest are survivable but for very different reasons. I would try both and see what suits you when you get the chance.

Maybe someday. If you mean for imaginary purposes, That's more up to you ;)
