I will hunt you down and kill you. I will stick a stake through your vampire heart while choking the life out of your soon-to-be deformed body before I pike you.

=( I'm really not ready to see all the Sephiroth anagrams running around.

The Tier 4 concept art makes them look more like something out of Hellraiser to me. Which is awesome.

The concept art things do look damn cool, all of Mythics concept art is very well done.

I just guess I've always for some reason hated vampires.

Just about any elf can be a sephiroth clone. What do you need? Silver Hair..Check, slim and pale, check.... there were a few of these in WoW when Blood Elves were released, but there really isn't much you can do about it. Fortunately, the playerbase is pretty good at weeding these people out.

With the release of the Disciple, I bet the Penguin Hunter supporters are pissed.

One interesting detail is the skin tone/hair combination in the Disciple artwork.

In the latest edition of the Warhammer book it's specifically stated in the Dark Elf introductory description that they have "extremely pallid skin in comparison to their old rivals", and in the Wkipedia page it's said they all have "raven black hair".

These guys are not Sephiroth clones, I'd say they suffer from the dreaded Drizzt syndrome!

Indeed, they do. But you know that you're always going to have that one person on each server to name his character after Sephiroth...or Drizzt.

This is something I just don't understand. Why are all Sephiroth clones elves?

And another thing. Howcomes there are never any Kefka clones? He was a way better villain than that queer Sephiroth.

Sinfjotle
12-19-2007, 07:28 PM
Probably because Kefka has clown makeup on and looks like a total evil person. Like all clowns.

Sephiroth is pale, tall, slender and girly. Elves are almost without exception pale, tall, slender, and girly.

Does Sephiroth carry around a cup o' blood for a nice refreshment?

Tall slender guy with white hair, black leather and a sword = Sephiroth. It doesn't matter who it is, the fan boys will call him Sephiroth, just like they would call anyone who has a giant sword and spiky blonde hair Cloud.

Just for the record, it looks nothing like him and there would have been a million people naming their Druchii character Drizzt anyways.

Looks blood damn close, especially the darker black shaded armor

but, they truly are a rip of these dark eldar from the warhammer 40k (http://uk.games-workshop.com/darkeldar/miniature-gallery/3/)

Which are essentially the 40k version of dark elfs

Sephiroth clone? Where? Don't see it. I really don't.

Slender body with long white hair and a pointy stick don't make them into Sephiroth...

Sinfjotle

If I see a dude in tight leather with a sword twice his size and spikey blond hair, damn straight I'm going to think of Cloud. Regardless of whether you like him or hate him, he brought a lot of people into the RPG genre with Sephiroth.

If you can't see how this picture doesn't at least give you the inkling that if Sephiroth was badass he'd look like this, you probably aren't one of the people that was brought into the RPG genre by FFVII. Which is cool, I was brought in by IV and I <3 Cecil and Kain, but I know when people are going to start making the anagrams.

...heh, Disciple of Kain, heh...

PS-No, that's not a typo. :p

hopefully they ban names like sephiroth and drizzt or whatever from the game...or legolas and all forms of it...they can do it...so it should be done...i hate seeing that...i just wont heal them..or help them in fight

Alright they do have some simularities, but then again so does every elf. The disciple also uses two weapons or a onehanded weapon and an offhand. These do seem to be normal size, no "buster swords" or 50 ft Katana's.

They might be a tad closer then the average darkelf, but they're still not that close that I'd bother myself with it.

Can anyone tell me the resemblance between this guy: http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/images/careers/Dspl_04.jpg and this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Sephiroth.png is. Seriously, the only thing they got in common is white hair and they both wield a blade (their blades dosn't even remotly resemble each other though). Even the earlier tiers that dosn't wear as much armour really dosn't look alike either http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/images/careers/Dspl_02.jpg

A minor, remote resemblance is more than enough for fanboys.
Night Elves didn´t even remotely resemble Legolas, and yet...

The fact that the OP came up wih this "resemblance" is enough to know it will happen. Unfortunately.

How else do they expect us to keep warm. Penguin Blubber and skin makes goo armor insulation for the ice cold areas.
