Ive been submiting feedback via the ingame csr menu regarding white lion graphic and armor sets and details etc, kilts and also I've submitted CSRS regarding our postional attacks, Higher cost of abilitys, lack of knock back, aoe disable etc etc...anyway thats not the point of my post..so please do not comment on that.
so after reading these forums I was always under the impression that the Shadow warrior mirror was the squid herder, WL mirror was the maruder, even tho SH and WL are pet classses. so when I submitted my feedback via ingame this was the response I recieved;
Dear Customer,
Thank you very much for your comments. Player feedback is valued and appreciated. Every piece of feedback is read and considered to improve Warhammer Online.
In relation to your ticket, the Squig Herder is the mirror class of the White Lion. While both classes are similar they both have different abilities, while the Squig Herder has a knockback ability the White Lion has the Fetch ability plus both classes have various other abilities which although slightly different playstyle are quite similar. For the Maruder the opposite class is the Shadow Warrior as both classes are stance classes, and both classes have advantages and disadvantages.
For any further queries don't hesitate to contact us via the in game Ticket system.
im sorry if people already knew this, like I say, I find it intresting, I supose they are talking about the class mechanic. being SH and WL are pet classes, and people always compare the wl - maruder so deos that mean we should not do it?

I've never understood why Mythic stand by their crazy ideas about mirror classes.
The only similarity between SH and WL is that they have a pet, and Mara and SW use stances.
The fact that WL/Mara and SW/SH get almost identical core skills and fit into MDPS and RDPS archetypes respectively doesn't seem to mater to them :?

Sorry, you said not to comment on this part but can't help myself. Less CC in the game period, please. Not more.

I'm guessing they're talking about these so-called "mechanic" mirrors, as both WL's and SH's are a pet class and Marauder/SW are both stance-based.
On the battlefield, however, SW/SH and WL/Marauder are mirrors, and I'm pretty confident that Mythic even said this at some point of the beta. And I don't think that even Mythic is so stupid to come and deny that a ranged class with a bow is a mirror of a melee class with a two handed axe, even if both have a pet, on the battlefield and role-wise, that is.

I kind of attribute this to a CSR just blowing smoke. The similarity of the two are they have pets. I'm having trouble thinking of other similarities.
On the other hand, SW and SH share basically the same core skills, and have very similar masteries. It's not so cut and dry for white lions and marauders but the defining skills are the same - charge, fetch/terrible embrace.

I agree, but i was not asking for more..I was just letting people know what I was writing about to get a response in the way I did, maybe I did not write it clear enough in my OP. apologies on my behalf.

I agree with you completely thats why It set me back, esp when everyone compares classes as follows WL v Mara & SW V SH, I have never ever read on the forums someone comparing the WL abilitys against the SH or the SW against the SH, I understand it might be a class mechanic but as they perform very different roles on the battlefield it seems harder to be able to balance them surely??

The 'balancing' aspect makes it more clear. In the last bunch of fixes both SH and SWs skills got increased damage. As they share the mirror abilities, the changes effected both of them. Similarly, assault stance and squig armor got boosts to STR from BAL. The squig pets do essentially what stances do for SWs.

going by this CSR email,
my pet unless i stack loner tactic, is 25% of my damage output, so if pet is dead or attacking another target my dps is 1/4 down. deos a SH pet count for 25% of his damage?

I can only comment on T3 (seeing as thats where my SH is) but on average - stacking BS I hit around 300-400ish damagepp (per plink) (main nuke). All pets hit around 100+ per hit...
So it seems a SH pet takes up a little over 25% of our dps. Might be different in T4 though.

Squig herders get a tactic called all by meself (http://www.wardb.com/spell.aspx?id=1860)
The squig herder and shadow warriors are the definately mirrors of each other. The CSR just got it wrong on this occasion. The squig herder gets the same buffs by summoning squigs (-a large amount of stats) which shadow warrios gets from stances.
