Wounds Debuff

I'll admit I just did a short search/glance for this so I apologize in advance if it has been covered.

Does anyone know in what way these are applied in addition to the damage done? Is it:

A) Damage done then wounds debuff.

B) Wounds Debuff then damage done.

As per all the debuffs (sharpened edge for example) FIRST goes the debuff and AFTER the damage, so for a full health enemy you will deal FIRST the debuff on the health and THEN the damage. It is a great opener if you have a decent amount of BL cause of the not mitigable debuff damage, shame for the low damage in any other situation.
