Variety in casting

As far as variety in casting, would this be a good choice? I'm heavily considering it as it seems it is but I know many of you know much more about the Magus than what I've lately read. I don't want to sit here and spam the exact same spell over and over and over. I want to be constantly needing to use X spell for Y situation. Anyone mind helping or leading me somewhere else? That'd be appreciated though I love the Chaos-y stuff.

The Magus seems to be a very situational caster in my opinion.
