Europe First: Inevitable City Siege on Eltharion

From the EU Herald, we have some news of a first time-event: Yesterday, January 18th, the forces of Order laid waste to the heretic bastion of "The Maw" and proceeded to besiege the Inevitable City itself. Bugman from the Bugmans Best blog has shared some comments on this Europe-first event.


How did Order manage to lock the zones needed to get to the Inevitable City?
It was a huge effort on everyone's part. Order got themselves organised and had some Warbands taking the keeps. Praag usually changes hands daily on Eltharion, so it was only when Order entered the Chaos Wastes that Destruction set up proper defence Warbands.

Huh, thought there was another server that had it before us. Must be mistaking with an US server. Anyway, though we have non-stop RvR going on in here I think we can still use more people. So if you're re-rolling or new to the game, join Eltharion. :D

And the amazing thing is they give Order a RR and Exp Bonus. Good job Mythic seriously in Tier 1 and 2 maybe Destro holds the numbers but once you get to 3 and 4 it evens out and order have alot better players. Destro seem to be more childlike and zerg orientated

Anyway, gratz to Order on Eltharion. I hope we'll have a Inevitable City Siege on Karak Hirn soon. Don't care if the edges are still rough.
I've never seen the Inivitable City ingame because I want it to be a surprise when the Siege happends. Can't wait...

I think you are thinking of the City Seige we had on Karak Eight Peaks, back last year. That was a seige on Altdorf, though. You get the first on the IC.

Nice how the 2 most advanced (not most populated anymore ofc) EU servers both have had a City siege now.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed with the City Siege. I was online all night (the entire time the city was open for attack) and did not manage to get into a city instance even once.....

I got into the scenario several times.... Its OK but but nothing special and really not what I imagined the endgame to look like.......

In all fairness all of the larger destro guilds have moved server. Most of the guilds listed on the official site are new guilds, bar one or two who have been around since launch.

If any of the order guilds are still left then it's no suprise they was able to do this, as most of them were quite motivated compared to those on other servers.

it took order 4 months, and even then, it wasn't successful

when is mythic going to wake up and realize their pvp system is broken

PvP system is not broken. With continual effort, anything can be done but not without friends, hard work and strong will.
The City siege itself actually deserve some revisions, thats right :)

I wish K8P didn't have that organized defence either. But somehow it's always the same wall of people from day in and out who annihilate us at the 2nd keep fight :)

Heh, neither side on Vortex even gets close to successful fort sieges. We've all pretty much given up hope that anyone will see any cities being sieged :mad:

well on KA destros attack altdorf 3 or 4 times all ready but they havent bin able to cap the city. and yes the city sige SUCK BALLS if you dont get in to any instance. please make city sige more fun Mythic. same PQ over and over for 6 houres is boring
