Where are the Black Orcs

I have yet to see a Black Orc vid where they are doing anything productive. It seems either the person playing doesnt know what they are doing, or they do no dmg what so ever when they are swinging. I dont expect them to be teh dps class but it seems that choppa is doing more than 5 times the dmg of the Black Orc. someone prove me wrong please!!!

How can you really tell how any class is really performing under shakey camera's held by people filming at events? Really we've seen alot of jumbled blurry footage of people who've only just got their hands on the game play for about 10 minutes or so with tier 4 characters they've never touched before.

And I expect the choppa will be dealing considerably more damage than a Black Orc, specially once they go berzerk. I'd much prefer to see a black orc, Stunning , Taunting , chucking enemies out the way and protecting allies rather than hitting things.

The games still in beta, we've got 6 months or so till release I wouldn't expect any clear videos of the classes. Do remember they've not really balanced yet so any numbers got from those vids are probably going to change once we get to release.

Tanks doing their job in RvR isn't really as easy to see as it is for a DPS classes' big numbers floating up everywhere. As nonesuch said, debuffs, guards, taunts, crowd control, ect ect. Also, remember, these are people playing for the first time, they have no idea what they're doing.

from what i've seen. choppas deal the least amount of damage in normal mode and compete with teh other dps classes while in berserk. the tradeoff is that the choppa has more hps/better armor to make up for it. so what they lose in damage they gain in survivability through hps and armor.

Sorry if i was unclear. I expect Choppas to be doing more dmg than a Black Orc, but i do expect to see compairable numbers. I have seen clips like Black Orc at the gates of ekurund where his melee swings for like 1 dmg. as a melee career i expect there per hit to be the same as a choppa but the fact that choppa is duel weilding they would do considerably more.

I'm not sure making assumptions based on video is such a great idea.

Every released video is of players who have never played the career before, have developed no strategy, have no real understanding of how the skills and abilities work. I think the smart thing to do would be to reserve judgment until you've had a chance to really play the career.

The more I read about this the more I consider being a Choppa, I want to tank and throw my allies, I want to have a ton of health, I want to do lots of damage also. I could be a Damage black orc and use a 2 hand. However We still don't know if Choppas can weild great weapons but they probably can. I'll wait until Open Beta and then I'll try them both out.

I wish they would do a monthly showcase of the different class types (Tank, DPS, etc) where they show actual gameplay through the developer's eyes with a walkthrough of each class on how they are designed, then atleast we could form some sort of idea.
