Exactly. The problem with the Magus was that its "lore" stated he was stuck on his disc. There is no such restriction with the Slayer. The one thing that might be our save here is that a while back on an Xfire chat, Mythic stated they were looking to add more racial mounts into the game. That is something that may be announced on the 29th.

Chariots pulled by grudge ponies. How is it that hard to understand that like this the Dwarf isn't on a mount and can walk around?

But expect to use the gyrocopter. In fact the Slayer for me is the only other career that i think the roflcopter fits.

Frankly, Slayer mount should just be a quick, prolonged sprint. It fits the character, would look pretty cool and requires virtually no extra work from Mythic.

I'm nervous about it too. The only dwarf that fits the gyrocopter is the engineer, which fits it well. Ironbreaker, runepriest, and soon slayer all look goofy and don't fit in with the gyrocopter.

I ust be one of the few players that thinks the Dwarf mount rox. Imo it's by far the most visually entertaining mount Order has. Scaled down Gyrocopter. Sorted!

I don't see anything wrong with the mount as it is - but it does feel odd on a ironbreaker and runepriest. Not sure how keen I will be with my slayer using one. I may just not use one har.

quite obvious any mount given has to have the ability to jump or appear to go up higher that makes sense...therefore if u look at that old beer driven cart...seing that jump would be nonsense

It'll make it a bit harder when everyone else rides off to the keep, but dwarfs are used to being the slowest anyhow, so that shouldn't be a problem.

People want some sort of cool looking mount when they finally reach the level to get one. Otherwise they would hit 20 and say "Aw, I just run fast? I'll just Flee everywhere!"

People want some sort of cool looking mount when they finally reach the level to get one. Otherwise they would hit 20 and say "Aw, I just run fast? I'll just Flee everywhere!"

Yeah, but the magus mount is at least a vastly more ornate version of the standard disc. One of my alts is a magus and I was thrilled to have a daemon mount that is basically a Screamer. Considering the disc restriction they made it as wild looking as they could, though a streaming tail would have been nice.

Dwarfs have short legs and don't run fast. In the G&F novels there are multiple moments where Gotrek is running as fast as he can, and it's just a light jog for Felix. Yes, it would be nice to have the "Relentless" rule from the TT to be somehow portrayed in the game, but having a ridiculously retarded runspeed for the mount is not the answer.

All in all, seeing as GW defined that the dwarf mount had to be mechanical, the Gyro Harness is quite allright. It's not a long stretch from the Gyrocopter which is a very common Dwarfish contraption.

To make the cart jump is very simple c'mon. Look at all those westerns with the bandits chasing the diligences. Look at the Ben-Hur movie.
Just make it jump in two parts, first the ponies and then the chariot. i'm sure they could invent something.

In that case it should be added for all dwarf careers, except maybe engineers, let them have that "flying" contraption.

They also had the idea that the Slayer couldn't be added because of all the death wish thing. And look how that will turn out (hopefully, don't want to jinx it!!).
A chariot pulled by some ponies could work. The only problem i see is the jumping animation! But that can be fixed, just animate the ponies jumping and the chariot following and tilting to the sides before stabilizing.
