Now, as everyone knows, you can walk all nilly-willy around and find an exploration quest like they said in the podcast.

But I was suggesting this, when someone completes the quest, the quest giver should despawn and respawn somewhere randomly in the zone.
Because I don't really think that exploration quests would really be "exploration quests" if everyone knew where they were...

Just a thought.

they might well do tht have mutliple spanw point in a zone but to make it 100% random is impossible ( as a computer cannot be ever 100% random) but like Paul also said they are theer for ppl who bother to give a damn so not looking online for their location is what makes them special imo

Yea... that is true, players might wanna take it upon themselves to try and not cheat themselves out of a good experiance... But I would still like to see a random spawn point of the random quest people.

If you want to find something by yourself - it is usually simply a matter of not reading walkthroughs or strategy guides.

I do agree that a (limited) number of "spawn points" (or wandering around a bit) would be good, but you'll rarely be able to avoid walkthroughs and spoilers for those people who want to be spoiled for one reason or the other.

Also it could hamper fun if you were forced running around looking and then having to comb zones for real life days on end either because other PC's are despawning the NPCs making them spawn all over the place again.
It isn't exploration having to run through a zone multiple times simply because something "teleports" around with you trying to find it.

I would like to see "random" position ( just some different spawpoints...not totaly random) and random timing. For example "quest giver" will spawn for 3-6 hours every 9-18 hours.
