Heyho
I'm a soon to be tattoo apprentice so I'm thinkingm wouldn't it be rather nice to design your own tattoo on the slayer?
Does anyone know if this will be possible ?

I very, very, very much doubt it. In fact i can safely assume that this won't happen.
Besides, the tattoos have to be Warhammerish in look. A blazing Hell's Angels skull on the back breaks the fluff a bit..

the best we can hope for would be
1. a TON of different tattoo choices at creation
2. they get more ornate as you lvl up

There probably will not be too many. I'd expect about the same as the BW character creation or WE creation.

Reminds me of a Story I heard about a guy who went for his tatto and ended up with "Hells Angles" tattoed on his arm.

I'm hoping that instead of guild cloaks they just tattoo our guild emblem on our backs and send us back out to the fight. The thought of a slayer in a cape is....disturbing.

I think tattoos are going to be the head armor. It seems most likey to me because jewelry is a lot less noticeable then a tattoo.

There was a great deal of information released yesterday, so I don't remember where exactly I read it, but one of the Mythic people said that the Slayer's head armor would be similar to the Warrior Priest's in that it would be some sort of Neck piece. I'm think a necklace of some sort.

The Slayer headpiece is a large, elaborate torque.

Torque, Armband, Wristband, Belt, Boots
What's the chest piece?
also capes on slayers will look really dumb

Body slot: Pants

Good thing we can turn cloaks off, then.

I expect that you will have both tattoo and jewelery options on creation. Like some class character creation options provide for scar and jewelery.

Start with simple outline, then slowly color and shade with new designs :)

Create a dwarf, walk outside the cave and just at the entrance is a tattooed slayer.

I think tatooes will be like gear in that they will be dropped and you can apply them.

In the IGN video the devs say/show that the tattoos are character customization options. After all, it'd be stupid that you could change your tattoos.
Head slot: Torques
Shoulder slot: Armbands
Body slot: Pants
Hand slot: Bracers
Belt slot: Belts/Girdles
Feet slot: Boots
Allright? We clear?

Actually there was this one time. Sadly I wasn't the right class though. Also it was still attached to an arm.

Chest armor by the looks of the slayer in the stuntie starting area.

What he said.
Tattoos as armor slots would suck anyway.
Tattoos with stat bonuses would work, but they would have to be permanent to make any sense. And people would choose the wrong tattoos and whine about it. Lets just keep them as decoration, not stat modifiers.
What we should hope for is a good selection of tattoos.

from the gamespy interview with jeff hickman
" Itemization was cleared up when the team stopped looking at the fact that Slayers don't wear armor and started looking at what they did wear. "We'll have all the armor slots filled for the Slayer but the appearance of the Slayer will be a bit different." Instead of armor, the shirtless slayers will have an ever-increasing selection of pants, belts with big outrageous buckles, shoulder pads, gloves, boots, piercings, tattoos and runes. Hickman seemed particularly excited by the tattoos in particular. "Players will be able to get some really spectacular skin designs as they level up their Slayers," he said."

I'd interpret that as the tattoos that you select at character creation getting more ornate as you rank up. Sort of how the White Lion's Lion changes in looks. Or that the Body slot consists of pants and tattoos combined, which i have a hard time believing though, seeing as they tried that with the Bright Wizard robes (Arm tattoos changed with different robes) and didn't like it since it made no sense. So i'll stick with my first guess.
Definitely not "Lick'n'Stick temporary ink tattoo of weapon skill"

A friend of mine who went to comicon stated that they said tattoos will be something you select from character creation and would not ever change - they also said there will be lots of styles and colors so everyone is not stuck with blue.
