Question:
What is the formula for calculating the # DPS, and # Speed on any given weapon?

In Detail:
I was recently told that the higher speed is on a weapon, the more damage the weapon can do. (Which makes sense)

The reason I ask if anybody knows of a formula, is because there are weapons with higher DPS + lower SPEED, and sometimes items with lower DPS + higher SPEED. Therefore, only a formula will be able to tell me which of the 2 is a more critical stat to have in a weapon.

Understandably, every weapon comes with stats to increase it's class's damage (such as, ballistics and strength). So, obviously, that stat would need to be included in the formula.

Conclusion:
If I am unclear about my question, in any way, please let me know and I will clarify to the best of my abilities.

I have searched, and was not able to find any information about this subject. If there already has been a post about this, please provide a link.

Thanking you in advance

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question, but weapons speed does not affect your abilities in any way. It only affects your autoattacks. Meaning the weapon with the highest dps is best no matter the speed -- if not looking at any other stat.

The most quoted link, that I have seen, regarding melee combat in WAR is:

http://disquette.wordpress.com/warhammer-online-melee-combat-mechanics/

The data appears to be substantiated and afaik has held up to all tests. The answer to nearly any question regarding melee damage can probably be found on that page.
