Advice on Scavenging class

Hi,

I'm looking to roll an alt (Destro) to level as a scavenger and would like some advice as to which class would be best. I'll level him up in SCs and grinding scavenging mats, and would like someone who can kill mobs quickly and easily, and solo champs and maybe even heroes.

The potential classes I have in mind are sorceror, squig herder, magus, blackguard, marauder, DOK.

if you could give me the pros and cons of each class, with a view to scavenging as many mats as quickly as possible, that'd be great!

I have both a sorc and a DoK scavenger. The sorc is great in terms of the sheer amount of stuff she can bring in in a given amount of time, but I use the DoK to solo heros to look for the tier 10 curios.

Given your criteria I would say the DoK fits the bill best. Not outstanding kill rate against easy mobs, but certainly ok, and able to solo champs and some heros. Also able to duo with almost any class.

Marauder and BG are also great solo AoE classes, not sure how they do against heroes. I would suspect the BG could do ok.
