View Full Version : Blowup
Hi, I was looking for my daily WAR fix - when I came across this BW video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-PzVL73eSU&feature=user
Can anyone tell me what happens at 3:20 (without breaking NDA)? It looks like he "blows up" - like the sorcerer mechanic the devs has been talking about, can anyone confirm this? Or is it somekind of AoE spell that hurts himself aswell? Thanks in advantage :)
Edit: I wonder if it is this spell (http://war.gamewikis.org/wiki/Burnout)
I don't quite get it if it is though - losing 90% of your life to restore 90AP does not make much sence to me

I nt think that spell is burnout, judging from its description, It indeed doesn't make much sense blowing yourself up over 90 AP. Burnout looks more like the Warlocks Life Tap from WoW.
Anyway, cool vid

It looks like an AOE spell with the player as the center. It also looked liked it dropped him to around 1 hp because his HP were gone but, he was still alive. I don't know if the 1 hp is part of the spell or the damage he took worked out that way.

That was some serious technical glitches when they got to the RvR fighting, but of course if that game was played by many there, that glitch would have been mentioned a 1000 times to any nearby Mythic guy.
I didn't quite see if he uses the staff or the hands to cast his spells, anyone can see that?
After watching the video again, I think it looks like he clicks the ground first. So perhaps it is a GTAOE spell - with a chance of the spell "going wrong" and inflicting some serious self damage ^^

That was a controllable AOE from the look of the vid. The sorceress mechanic is more along of the lines of roulette, the more you cast the more your odds of shooting yourself. I think that may have been either a spell with a misfire/self-hit effect or a last resort spell for the BW when he knows hes probably going to die and he wants to bring somebody with him.

very nice video, if it was a ground AOE going wrong than its amnazing that he got left with 1 hp(what r the chances) more likely is that it is a suicide ability that leaves just 1 hp, or maybe its a talent later on that leaves the BW with one hp after doing his little suicide blowup

I'm pretty certain that at one point there was a tactic you could equip where you blew up upon death, dealing damage to enemies around you.
