Kinda Concerned about the KOTBS

Well i do like the Idea of a Battlefield Commander my main concern is they'll just be in the back spamming their buffs abilities in the group even though they are the Empires Tank class. Any of you guys have any opinions about this?

Like all the other classes in this game trying to pigeonhole them into some kind of bot will only be to the detriment of your side. They can tank, deal damage, and buff. Just buffing means you lose the other two.

I personally would never stay in the back and just buff, besides the one of the main important things of War online is that no one stays in the back doing nothing, not even healers.

I firmly believe that it won't even be possible.

Mythic are clever, they know how to build diverse classes. Given that other classes strongest abilities appear to be driven by 'building' some kind of catalyst, blood, grudge, hate etc It's highly likely that a Kotbs will only be able to use a handful of their abilities without getting stuck in with their melee attacks to build their catalyst.

The only tank class to ever remain at the back of a crowd doing the 'i heal' job is a WoW Paladin. No other tank-type class in history, to my knowledge, has been required to do that.

But to add on that note, who said that the buffs would like 15 seconds? Maybe they are like buffs that last maybe 30 mins at a time or something to that extent, where as you'll only need to buff, kill for 30 mins, then rebuff.. that being said, you only need to buff initially before running head first into battle, just like in wow, where you have to stand behind the gate for so long, that's where you buff, and prepare yourself for battle. Have you ever thought of that? With the abilities being split between tank skills, buff skills, and dmg skills, do you really think you're gonna have that many buffs to be just sitting in the back and buffing? then that means you wont have any skills for dmg or tanking...

Actually I think I read that the Chosen's debuffs are auras. So, with the KotBS being the Order equivalent, I wouldn't be surprised if his buffs are auras as well.

The buffs are PbAOE auras. So you can't stay in the back to use them.

From the looks of the site description the kotbs is gonna an aura . His idea will probably be something similar to Diablo 2's paladin.

yea the KotBS will have a bunch of auras and buffs. I'de feel sorry for you guys if you ended up with the simple 123 123 123 twisting gameplay, not only does it suck for those who play it, but the empire loses their tank class. i'm gona look for some abilities of the KotBS.
