I've been very curious about something in the official description of the Runepriest. Maybe you know what I'm talking about...I get the distinct feeling that the WAR devs are hiding something from us.

Rune Priest Look
Well armored in medium, rune-inscribed armor
Wields an ornately carved rune staff
Marks all his equipment with runes of power and protection"Rune-inscribed armor"
"Marks all his equipment with runes of power and protection"

To me this goes beyond just the use of Oath Runes that we all know so much about. Those are player buffs and the above, to me, sounds like equipment buffs. Could it be possible that the Runepreist is capable of creating runes that can be "socketed" into his own gear. Or lets stretch it a bit further...is it possible that we would be able to craft these runes and inscribe them into other players armor, as Dwarfs would actually do. There is something fishy going on here, some game mechanic we don't have all the information about, and I demand answers! Who's with me?

I think they are just talking about the buffs you can give your allies to increase damage, or increase defense.

They are also just describing the look of the armor. In a lot of pictures you can see gold/white symbols and markings on the armor.

While this would be pretty sweet, to be somewhat of an 'enchanter' like from WoW, im pretty sure they are referencing how a runepriest's buffs/debuffs come about by casting the rune on the target. So technically the rune gets inscribed on the target, even for a short amount of time.

I'll buy that for the "Rune-inscribed armor" part of the write up, as his robes are dressed in what one could call runes and runic symbols. But I still think there is something more to that second part. I can't see a reason for them to say in the full write it they way they did if the intent was just to reiterate the fact that he casts buffs on people.

"Marks all his equipment with runes of power and protection".....that would mean, if taken literally, that he can place more than one rune on his 'stuff', which would rule out buffs since they are one per player deal.

Although the idea of this is pretty cool I highly doubt that it is in the game seeing as how all the information you are drawing the conclusions off of are under "Rune Priest Look" and not under "Playing as a Runepriest".

Could very well be true, and in all honesty thats the thing that leads me to doubt my own assumptions more than anything else. But I just don't see the reason for wording it the way they did....why even give them names like "runes of power and protection" or give it an action like the word "marks" when all they could have said was " medium armor empowered by runes"?

Maybe I'm just hoping there is something more to this so much that I'm stretching for it, but I think there must at least be some reason behind it all.
