It's Tuesday and time for another Spotlight on: UI Mods. It's not just any Tuesday though, Patch 1.2 is Live and amongst other goodness, we have the new Zone Domination system. With the new Zone Domination system live, having the best battlefield intel is more vital than ever before, so my thoughts have once again turned to UI Mods that help with giving you the best information available for RvR.

Several weeks ago we did a Spotlight on a couple vital UI Mods - Realm Status and Objective Tracker. In response to that Spotlight, a number of members brought up another AddOn - State of Realm. Not only did various members of the community mention State of Realm, but Aiiane sent me a heads up via Twitter pointing toward State of Realm. I figure when the author of the previous AddOns is calling my attention to an AddOn with overlapping functionality, it's worth checking out what all the fuss is about. So, we now bring you State of Realm.

State of Realm is an information explosion in RvR brought to the community by RodentMastermind. It combines all the information that is essential to mounting a successful campaign in one AddOn. You get Keep Tracking, Objective Tracking, a Pager notifying you of changes to the local Battlefield Objectives, along with other features.

The UI is well composed and the information is highly customizable, allowing you to select which information you need through an easy UI interface you can attach to your Mini-Map. Set it up and one of the first things you will likely want to do is set the notifications for the Tier in which you are active, but that just scratches the surface for your options.

I found State of Realm to be intuitive and very functional. It tied all the features I was getting from RealmStatus and Objective Tracking into a single AddOn with one customizable interface. The UI is attractive and easy to read and RodentMastermind seems committed to keeping the project updated.

My only complaint at this point is that although State of Realm is running effectively with Patch 1.2, it does not yet take advantage of the new Zone Domination system introduced today. It will certainly help you track the action across your Tier, but you'll still be looking at the standard Map UI to track the timers on BOs and Keeps for Zone Domination. I am confident though that the full Zone Domination functionality will be incorporated in the very near future.
