:P im almost expecting mythic to throw a curve ball and be like HA see it isnt the White Lion...we have to redo everything cause that picture was released :P just to punish everyone..but i think it would actually be kinda neat if they did pull a fast 1 on us lmao

I've actually been thinking the same thing. Watch them pull out some other shiney career and laugh at us all. I wouldn't mind so much as long as it at least equals the badassery (hey, it's a word according to Mythic :p) of the White Lion.

I have been thinking the same thing, but there are really only 2 possible melee DPS units that are not mounted left in the high elf army, spearmen/ Lothern seaguard or handmaidens, if the white lion is out.
and with Avelorn acting as a kinda important zone, perhaps mythic liked the idea of the female only class like the witch elf and are going with a posh version of them, you know, but with a spear instead of crazy double daggers and potions & stuff.

but then again, they also have said order are getting a pet class, and really, that poster was too awesome for them to scrap the idea now.

plus when talking about the original cinematic trailer a white lion i mentioned. with that skill mighty roar, which he goes on to say GW gave in to, so it at the very least got further down the pipeline than the slayer.

what has probably happened is that due to the delay the rate at which information has been coming has had to be reduced so there are still things that will wow us upon retail, or at least that is what i am really hoping, because who doesn't want to play some jacked woodsman wearing a lions pelt and ordering another lion to rip peoples faces off, thats living the dream...

While it would be suprising to see something besides the White Lion, I really hope its not the case. I've wanted White Lions since I got interested in this game, and thus the lore, and thus made my way to Elves as I'm want to do, and thus discovered White Lions AHA. :)

The only alternative I will settle for is a Dragon Prince, with a full sized unkillable Dragon Pet that does more DPS than everypther DPS carrer combined:D.

I would actually rather have dragon prince instead of white lion they seem cooler and see like they would have a wider variey of spells and such.

Certainly a Dragon Prince would be an awesome class, but without mounted combat, they lose their only gimmick. And Dragons (even young drakes) are too powerful as pets.

And finally, Mythic has stated that the last class will be a pet class.

Since they already said the High Elves will get a pet class, I think its highly unlikely it will be anything but the White Lions. Both handmaidens (who would also resemble witch elves too much) and spearwarriors don't have anything to do with animals, while White Lions are even named after an animal (a white lion ! yes really).
