I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about how threat/aggro will work with the Shaman/other healers. I apologize if I am asking a commonly known thing but I haven't found anything in my research of the forums and sites... Will there be huge issues with shamans generating Waaagh if they can only nuke 3 times and heal twice before pulling threat? Will tanks be able to manage keeping multiple targets on them? If you need a two to one tank to healer ratio in each group, it cuts down on pick up groups and makes people roll certain classes.

Will keep the first post short a bit in case someone knows an exact answer.

Interesting questions.
Haven´t heard about these issues but I guess I remember that it was mentioned Tanks could fulfill their role in PVE to a full extent. Pulling enemies creating Aggro ...
having this wonderful thing like Collision Detection there might be better ways than Aggro-dealing
Imagine 5 Black Orcs forming a shield wall against an Empire Griffin, the Dps skirmishing aound it, the Nukers/Healers behind the shield Wall letting off...

All the healers are going to have this issue, the Zealot and Rune Priest to a lesser extent. The melee healers may have it the worst because they have to be right in the thick of it while healing. The Zealot and Rune Priest have a lot of buffs and debuffs. I don't remember applying those generating a lot of hate in the other games.

as far single target threat goes, i cant see healers, even healers that need to deal dmg to heal, pulling off a tank, as far as multi target threat, im not really sure how it will work out, probably about the same as similar games

If CD was valid in PvE couldnt there be exploits? Have the ranged classes keep aggro while the tanks jut use knockdowns. I guess we will see.

I would imagine Mythic will balance things and hopefully tanks will be able to keep aggro well.

I can't imagine that Mythic didn't think of this when they were calculating how much aggro would be generated by various healer skills. It's integral to the design of multiple classes.

I agree that Mythic should take this into consideration, but from past MMO experience threat management has always been an issue for healers. It's really an issue that we won't know about until WAR goes live, but I figure since the forums here really don't have much to talk about atm with solid facts, we might as well try to foresee possible problems at release for our class, and ways to remedy them.
Anyone know if "Eeek!" clears all threat? It would be like giving our class a PvE feign death (In group circumstances). I doubt it does, but we can wish and maybe suggest it. If threat becomes a huge issue for shamans, Mythic may listen.

Different part of the post - Collision Detecting. I imagine if a group tries to exploit CD as mentioned where a tank sits and blocks so ranged can just blast, the mob will either reset or just blink past the tank. Think of it in a worse scenario than just groups - Power Leveling. A level 40 sits and blocks a hallway while lowbies snipe away...ok, bad example of PLing but oh well.

Did I hear somewhere that CD will only last a couple of seconds, to prevent people from AFK surrounding someone, etc? If so, I imagine it would apply to PvE as well? This could still be abused by just having two tanks and a narrow hallway, mob breaks through one, have first move behind second so when mob breaks through second, it runs into first...ok, reply long enough for now.

CD is only with hostiles, friendlies can pass through each other. I heard someone using a lava lamp to describe how it works with hostiles. You will initially be stopped by them but, if you keep pushing you will get through them.

There could be threat reducing tactics, skills or morale abilities.
