There is at the moment kind of many Hatred threads up and in everyone of them people wonder how Hatred works. So I decided to make one too! I found my self wondering (once again) how Hatred will work. Only thing that has been announced is the fact that you will get Hatred when you are hit, so this will give enemy an huge advancement by just ignoring A Black Guard.
How then Black Guard would make a viable RvR tank if you are just ignored and your allies are killed? I got this idea that instead of modifying Hatred more like for example Grudge, we could have an ability to avoid situations were we are just ignored. I was thinking something like passive enrage. Basically, first, dev's would give a standard"Hate regen" like "You get 3 hate every 5sec" regen, to make us bit less depending of being hit. Second, about that "passive enrage". I was thinking something like we get every 10sec 5% dmg boost and every 20sec "1 Hate every 5sec" regen but this would work only in combat and only if we have not been hit at least once in 10secs. So if enemy chooses to ignore me, lest say for 4 minutes, I'll do 120% more dmg and I'll get 15 hate every 5 sec. And I think that it would be a situation where my enemy wouldn't like to be 8). Of course if they ignore me just 40secs and start hit me then. It won't reset my grown dmg and bigger Hate regen back to zero but I'll have those buff which I was given during that 40secs, meaning that I'd have 20% more dmg and 2 more "Hatred per sec" regen.
Any ideas would this work or would this be too overpowering. Discuss
