Hey guys
I figured since we don't have much to go on in regards to the Black Guard that maybe some members could share some links to information about the Black Guard? I have been looking for info about them for a while now, but I can't seem to find anything about them.
Hoping some of the TT players can help us out here, as well as anyone else who has happened upon some information about the BG. Thanks guys!!

i don't really know much about them. BUT what i do know is that they are malekith's personal bodyguards they aren't large in number, but they are the elite of all the warriors trained within druchii society.

here is the description from the codex "If you are called upon to fight directly for the lordly Malekith, he may deign to send you a contingent of his personal guard. These are the Black Guard, the soldier of our capital Naggarond, and they are the fiercest fighters in all of the land of Chill. Wondrously ruthless and efficient on the attack, and immovable in defense, the Black Guard are the terror of our enemies. However, do not misuse their abilities, for they owe loyalty only to the mighty Witch King himself, and should they judge you to be at fault, you will answer to their deadly captain, Kouran. Such unpleasantness is to be avoided if you value your life and soul."
That is about it that the codex has about the Black Guards, there is a little bit more about Kouran but it only tells how he came to be captain.

Some quotes I collected about the blackguard:
"If you are called upon to fight directly for the lordly Malekith, he may deign to send you a contingent of his personal guard. These are the Black Guard, the soldiery of the Dark Elf capital Naggarond, and they are the fiercest fighters in all the Land of Chill. Wondrously ruthless and efficient on the attack, and immovable in defense, the Black Guard are the terror of the Dark Elf enemies."

"Raised from birth to protect the Witch King himself, the Black Guard would rather die than give ground."
Quotes from the Dark Elf Army Book 6th Edition.
"The Witch King Malekith's personal bodyguard are widely known as the finest and most zealously loyal of all warriors in the realm. They are trained to the highest possible standards and are formidable fighters, which makes them feared throughout Naggaroth and this reputation carries as far as Ulthuan. The Black Guard are only answerable to their captain, Kouran, and Malekith himself. If they judge that a noble, of whatever rank or birth, has acted rashly in battle they are permitted to carry out an immediate summary execution.
All the noble martial traditions are upheld by the Black Guard and almost all can trace their routes back to the courts of ancient Nagarythe. It is typical for only the elder sons of the Black Guard, or the sons of very noble families, to be accepted into the order, as they believe that 'pure Khainite blood' runs in the veins of these Dark Elves and only such Druchii can be accepted by Khaine (the order is very much dedicated to the reverence of the War God). When a son is accepted into the Black Guard it is traditional that all of his siblings are sacrificed to Khaine in the initiation.
When not on duty members of the Black Guard meditate at the Shrines of Khaine in Malekith's tower. Some also fast for a period until the next battle dawns."
quoted from critical hit.
"The Black Guard is the embodiment of brutish, shear bloody-minded violence. They are encased in phenomenal amounts of armor and wield the biggest, evilest, bad*** weapons they can find. Their job is to find the enemy and kill 'em. They are basically very, very dangerous, really hard to kill, and when they get close to you they deal out tons of damage. The more they hate you, the more damage and misery they will pile upon you. And you know what? They hate everybody, all the time, forever!"

Awesome guys, thanks for all of this! If you got more please do continue to post!
I was a little confused as some people were saying that members of the black guard were brainwashed by Malekith. I guess technically, they are in a way, but not the "brainwash-cap" sorta thing:)

They aren't brainwashed really, they're just given a very elite place among Druchii. The other example of something similar are the Spectres in Mass Effect lol, for people who have played the game.

I got a question.
Who do the Black Guards hold higher respect for, Khaine or their captain Kouran and Malekith?
What I'm basically trying to say here is; are Black Guards held in higher authority among the Druchii or is it the Witch Elves?

the Black Guards only answer to their Captain and Malekith...sure they certainly follow the beliefs of Khaine but the Temple hold no sway over them.
They are Malekiths bodyguard...they would do their best to level the Temple of Khaine to the ground if it would save him and he gave the order..(which he never will do..:))
So their loyalty lies with Malekith, period.

The latter.

Yes. The only person with any sway over them is Malekith, now that Kouran's dead. :P

You could say it like this:
Black guards are more dedicated to Khaine then the ordinary high noble. The god strengthen them and make them better soldiers. But if Malekith would tell them to raise the temple to the ground they wouldnt go against their god, but only the people that makes the temple. Roleplaying a black guard as a devotee of Khaine is as so not impossible, but it should never be your charathers prime goal in his life.
