hey, i just need a very quick answer about whether or not these are compatible with each other.
Motherboard: Gigabyte S775 Intel P35 ATX Audio Lan DDRII FSB1333 (http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=4Q0K&PageMode=1)
Graphics Card: Dabs Value GeForce 8800GT 512MB DDR3 PCIE DUAL DVI 600/1800 (http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=4S89&CategorySelectedId=11137&NavigationKey=11137&ExposedRefinement=11003&InMerch=1) OR
XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI Alpha Dog XT Edition (http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=4S83&CategorySelectedId=11137&NavigationKey=11137&ExposedRefinement=11003&InMerch=1).

It looks like that mobo has one PCI-E 2.0 slot. Though the way they present the mobo's specs on that page makes that difficult to be positive on. If that is indeed PCI-E 2.0 then you'll be fine. And go with the XFX brand card instead of the in-house model.

It doesn't matter if the slot is PCI-E 2.0 or not. PCI-E 2.0 cards can work in PCI-E 1.1 slots just fine.

The P35 boards dont support PCIE-2

No i mean i will be getting the XFX GeForce 8800GT 512MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI Alpha Dog XT Edition (http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=4S83&CategorySelectedId=11137&NavigationKey=11137&ExposedRefinement=11003&InMerch=1)! I was just wondering if it would go with that Mobo.

Yup but a word of warning about XFX. They customer service is very very very bad. They scam their customers claiming tehy dont have XFX products and that their serial key doesn't exist, RMA's can take 6 months to go throuhg etc.
Id never touch them with a barg pole. Evga and BFG have by far the bset RMA service going. EVGA even freely upgrade peoples components if they bring out new revisions. But dont expect taht on a graphics card. They did it on the 680i motherboards though. Im sure others like zodiac etc are good also. But i know shops such as overclockers.co.uk who refused to sell XFX products because of their bad services. Now overclockers have stuck a deal where they do the warrenty instead of XFX and they have to argue with XFX late down the line to get their money back.
