Magus In General !

Hi

Once you read this you will realize i'm... Basicly, a noob to warhammer online. All I know is I cant WAIT for it to come out. I am most probably going to be a Chaos Magus. I reckon I will be a Magus because I love the concept of flying around on a disc, throwing powerfull and also colorfull fire of tzeech (hope i spelt it right :-D)
But I have a few questions i need answering by the more advanced readers of this forum.

1. Crowd Control: Will th Magus have any good CC ability's?
If yes, could you name any?

2. 1 .vs. 1: Will the Magus have any basic damage dealing moves that deal alot of damage to 1 player?

3. Buffs: Will the Magus have any good buffs to improve his party members?

But remember dont just send me a list or link of moves that belong to the Magus as that would ruin the surprise. I dont want a bunch of moves. But all the opinions you can offer!

If what we're theorising accross the forum is true, the Magus will hopefully be among the best at ranged CC, though CC in WAR is not your traditional fare. So far it's more along the lines of manipulating the battle rather than doing simple stuns and roots, though they are still available. At the moment i'm thinking the Magus compares to the Shadow Warrior from Order, but very little info is available about them.

I expect so, though 'alot' of damage is currently unquantified as we have no idea what constitutes a high amount of damage, nor have we really had any way of comparing damage output.

3. Buffs: Will the Magus have any good buffs to improve his party members?

I doubt they'll have too many, as they're predominantly a ranged dps career. They may have some indirect buffs though, for instance increasing the damage a target will take, or slowing it's movement or action point regen etc.

Some classes have been given more details but the Magus is one where we haven't been getting much info unfortunately, speculation is mostly what we have.

We do know that Mythic is downplaying CC abilities. The Devs has said that they realize constantly losing control of your character is not good gameplay, so it appears there will be limited snares and such in WAR.

I'm most interested in learning if the rumors are true about the disk having close-combat damage abilities.

Erm, why would you think shadow warrior was melee? There are descriptions of each career in www.warhammeronline.com
