View Full Version : Is this laptop ok for WAR?
I was planning on waiting a few months so I could spend the money on a better laptop but my PC is dying and I can't stand it. So this is as cheap a laptop as I am willing to go but I just wanted to make sure it will be able to run WAR. Normally I would just look myself but I have no clue where to find the specs that will be needed for WAR and I'm not even sure they are available. So:
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 2 MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
320GB 5400RPM SATA Dual Hard Drive (160GB x 2)
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS
I really wanted to get the 7200RPM hard drive, 3gb of ram and a T9300 Processor but I don't know if I can wait. If it's not good enough to play WAR or to last for 3-4 years I might just wait for it.

Id strongly advice you wait for the money for a 8600m GT as a minimum and a 7200RPM,w hich will make a big difference. When pcs run out of ram space they use the hard drive. Which is alot slower then the ram. With an even slower hard drive this will really effect your performance.
Also why get 2x160gb? surely thats more expensive.
A 2ghz cpu isn't bad. 2.2-4 would be better, but for the price they charge if you had to buy now i wouldn't buy without a 7200RPM hard drive and a 8600m GT. otherwize you effectively just wasted your money.

It's a free upgrade. I can either take that or a 250gb hard drive for 5 dollars extra lol. Thanks for the info...I'll probably wait a couple months than. Hopefully my current PC can hold it together for that long.
