Curiosity- What would be the name of your Swordmaster's blade?

This isn't a serious thread like i've seen so far.

I am going to play a swordmaster, I love the mechanics and the gameplay it will have. Since I am going to play on a RP server (Hopefully there will be RP servers!?), I am really interested into being able to name my blade.

Hopefully they will:

-Allow it only for the latest weapons (naming a copper sword makes no sense)
-Allow it only for swordmasters (makes more sense)
-Allow the name to be shown on the item icon

But I am curious.. what name would you use for your blade??

Since the blade is "part of the swordmaster being", I think I'll name the blade according to the character's beloved name (idea taken from the Suikoden series).

If you guys get to name your swords, I'd sure better be able to name my bow. I think it's safe to say a SW is as tied to their weapon as a Swordmaster, they're just less... philisophical about it. I'd understand if Mythic made it SM only, but I think it'd be a bit harsh on anyone else who wanted to roleplay. If I can I'm naming my bow "Kinslayer", as I've already done so in my character's backstory...

I'd tend to name it more for something that happened in my characters story. Or at least for something to do with his personality, or fighting style. Personally, I don't really go for the naming my sword after my love thing. Though on that subject, Suikoden was incredible. And S2 was the best game ever made.

Names have always been hard for me, though. I really like to spend time thinking of just the right one. For characters, items, weapons, armor, etc... I just wish I could think of one right now. Oh well, It'll come to me. I'd love to see it in game, though.

From what I've seen, it's just swordmasters who name their swords. Merely a cosmetic appeal to go with the lore, and even then, I don't think you'll see the name of the sword unless you inspect them, and even then. It's not going to be like "Joe Cool, owner of the Nubslayer" floating around peoples' heads...I hope.

For a while, my character on EQ2 had a ridiculously long name including his titles, I don't want to see
"<Prefix Title > <First Name> <Last Name> <Suffix Title>, wielder of <Name of Weapon>" over everyone's head. Waaay too much.

If I could name my sword, it would probably be something short and in a foreign language. But not exactly sure what. The real point of this post is that I don't want to see everyone's weapon name all the time.

Actually, that is not such a bad idea. Personally, my favorite name for a sword or weapon in general comes from Soul Calibur, which is Xianghua's default/start off sword which is called, "No Name".

I think it would be a bit interesting to have a Swordmaster and that being the name of his/her sword, "No Name". Accompanying the name there is a whole laundry list of reasoning of why it is named that for the sake of RPing.

In the case of waiting for the game/beta, I could just change the language my character speaks to Elven, borrow a non-high elf monkey to help test it and see what results I get.

The story behind the swords name is a bit complicated. Suffice it two twin brothers were born of the union of a Chracian which was a white lion, the other of the elves of the inner sea, a sword master. Each twin brother was gifted with slightly different skills. One took up the mantle of the father, the Chracian. One of the mother, the sea elf. The two brothers were inseperable. The brother protected each other almost at all times. Eventually the one brother named his Sword Rauvarno, since he was the one protecting a White Lion. Also due to his lion like personality. Thus Rauvarno, The Lion Protector and Protector of Lions.
