It still doesn't make much sense. Being a Templar of Myrmidia while bearing arms in the name of Sigmar is kind of a slap in the face to your chosen goddess.

I'm not mad about the shield with the Emperor's name on it either - that's a rather strange thing for anyone but the Reiksguard and perhaps especially patriotic state troops to carry.

Really not liking the helmets or tier 3 shoulders either, but we've been over this all before.

It is a little odd that Sigmar would be on the KotBS weapons. But that is just concept art, it could change before getting in the actual game.

And, the Rapier is a Witch Hunter weapon.

I was kind of disappointed to scroll down and find out it was only the emperor, but I wouldn't want to begrudge him some awesome armour like that.

I can safely say with the chosens and orcs getting bigger with each level, the feathers on top of the helmets will probably be the defining feature of what tier a KotBS is. I'm kind of sad about that, but it's still pretty awesome. Maybe the feathers have a mind of their own and are bound to the KotBS, kind of like the disc is with the magus.

I wrote a big response but something happened to my browser and I had to delete my work.

People were saying that the pictures of the swords that knights were going to use looked a little out of place in the hand of the Myrmidia worshippers, and felt a little concerned about it.

To sum up my deleted work, Knights in the world of Warhammer are like people in the real world. No ones black or white in personality, all people are different shades of gray. Meaning, knights arn't the same. Although they are a KotBS, not all of them joined the order in hopes of worshipping Myrmidia through good deeds. Some joined for the power and for the "free ride" of joining an order.

Not only that but the KotBS are also said to be travelers. While traveling you could easily start using different weapons depicting different Gods, for many different reasons.

But to end my post, these are also just peices of concept art. Just because they were drawn that way, doesn't mean that you'll find them in the game that way.

On topic but kind of off. On the website, there are a few pictures of KotBS wielding spears. Anyone know about this?

I remember seeing those pics. Playing hero on DAoC I kepted going back and forth from sword/shield combo to spear.

Seems to me early on when I had the sword/shield combo I was in PvP groups more often and with the spear I was in PvE groups.

I kind of got sick going back and forth and stuck with the sword/shield combo and ended up bieng quite effecient in PvE groups as well.

I wouldn't mind trying out the spear if they chose to have that available for KotBS, but from my experiences I think the bad shield and sword combo will look quite better than just the spear.

Actually, I like the look of the Knight, plumage and all. Gives him a very different look then the Chosen. The sharp contrast in black and yellow look good too, and the helmet design is nice as well. Overall I like all the art, and the KotBS look to be shaping up to be very cool!

I think the whole black and gold platemail with giant feathers looks awesome. It reminds me of all that old jousting armor they would use back in the day with giant plumes of feathers coming out of the helmet. It also really helps to differentiate them from any of the other big, heavily armored classes. If we had generic slate-gray platemail we might be mistaken for a Chosen, but since the KoTBS has bright, colorful platemail it won't get mistaken for a Chosen, or a Warrior Priest in platemail.

The Empire and Bretonnia helped Estalia when they were invaded by the Arabyans. The original Temple of Myrmidia is in Magritta which is in southern Estalia, where the cult of the templars formed. Knights of the Blazing Sun living in the Empire, fighting for the Order of the Griffon would have no problems having Sigmar's symbol on their armor while having Myrmidia as the goddess they worship, in my opinion.
