Are witch elves celibate?

Bit of a Lore n00b here. I've seen Witch Elves compared to nuns and they're "brides" of a "jealous God," but they're also supposedly immersed in a very hedonistic culture.

Is there any official word on this? If not, what do the lot of you think?

Pretty sure sex with a Witch Elf ends in death anyway, just probably the best death you could possibly imagine. I mean, ya gotta think they're probably very... uhh... passionate. So, with that quote in mind, we can assume they don't take a vow of celibacy (no surprise there), but it will by no means be a common occurence, and you most certainly will not see them getting married to anyone other than Khaine.

I've always thought of the Witch Elves as being married to Khaine only in their hearts and minds, so they can indulge in carnal pleasures if they choose. As I see it, Khaine is a god of Murder, Death and Bloodshed, so he's unlikely to care that much about sex, so unless a Witch Elf falls in love he won't mind or even notice. I guess I just like the idea of a Witch Elf seducing a male and then during the act cutting his heart out - in my mind that kind of behaviour suits their depraved society much more than them being chaste.

So, I think they can have sex but most DE males would know that that would be a really, really bad idea so it doesn't happen very often.

Hardly, there are a thousand ways in which a Witch Elf can "get off". They're more imaginative than that. ;)


Anyway, I think it's mostly left to the interpretation of the players as to how 'far' a Witch Elf would go. But, yes, it seems quite obvious to me that they get their true and deepest enjoyment from killing. And it seems obvious to me that any intimate encounter with them will almost certainly end that way.

Of course that doesn't mean that they don't flirt and promise. All the easier to separate men from their sense (and pretty much everything else in the end... quite literally). :p

I wouldn't be surprised if Witch Elves had sex with each other in blood orgies to please Khaine, (they are a "sisterhood" after all, and we all know how Druchii feel about incest ;) ) but I doubt they'll allow anyone else to take pleasure from them. Their bodies are completely given to murder. They can't just give the goods away to anybody. It would subtract some of the effect from their alluring beauty, which they enjoy dangling in front of red-blooded males to tempt them into an agonising death.

Not neccesary. They are chosen into the order at a mature age which gives the conclusion that they might have had sex before this happening. As many has pointed out tho this holds no matter, as these priestesses dont take interest in sex after becoming devoted to Khaine.
