Whatever takes you to the far reaches of the realm, something is bound to turn up that leaves you scratching your head.
This week the focus is on plungers. No, I don't mean these! (http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscartoons/cartoonists/dre/lowres/dren4l.jpg)
Plungers are another name for what the dwarves more affectionately call 'Blimey Sticks'. Plungers are also infamous for raining spore down upon the Greenskins in their devious pairing with keggers full of blast.
Several of these plungers are scattered throughout the world, and differ from those found in modern villiages, camps, and quarries in the quality of their solid gold handles. Softly passing into legend, some wonder if the blast still holds the potency it once did.
I became curious when I received a somewhat blackened package, unmarked and bound with a singed ribbon. Inside was a letter written in lavish script within which the words of a riddle were scribed:
1.
My toes burn in the blackened ground
At the apex of my ultimate end
Sheltered only by the sound
Of the Curious jumping of the bridge above
2.
I'll be the first to climb it
Just you wait and see
Like a grand Explorer, I'll find it
And wake the dragons with the smell of coffee
The end simply said:
Of only one more I know
And for this you'll need a team
For Ol' GoldIron blasted a bottomless hole
Which disappeared 'im on 'is search for gold
