Welcome readers, to your Weekly WARview ! On this week's agenda, we have Nordenwatch, the Tier 1 Scenario that is loved by many.

In fact, Nordenwatch is often considered to be the best scenario in WAR, it even had two special week-end events that let players from all tiers participate in it (Which came with the titles "Master of Nordenwatch", and "Hero of Nordenwatch" if you completed all the tasks at hand).

Lore & Tacticshttp://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2437&pictureid=10396
The fortress normally guards the Empire coastal town of New Emskrank, however most of the fort's garrison has been redeployed to defend the town and the forces of the Raven Host have launched a surprise attack from the sea to capture the fort and turn its guns on the Empire forces. The Order of the Griffon has dispatched a force to hold the fort and prevent it from falling into the hands of the enemy.

Nordenwatch is a 12on12 (2 full groups on each side) Domination scenario, meaning players on each side will have to capture and hold three key locations on the map. These three points are The Fortress, The Lighthouse (which is closer to the Order spawn), and The Barracks (which is closer to the Destruction spawn). Capturing and holding these locations nets points to the appropriate team, and once a score of 500 points is reached, that team is declared the winner. However, if the 15 minute time limit is exceeded and none of the two teams reached 500 points, the team that currently has the highest score wins the scenario.

Personal Opinionhttp://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=2437&pictureid=10397
Nordenwatch is one of my favorite scenarios in WAR, not only does the actual map look awesome, but I'm a big fan of the playstyle and the strategies involved in it. I personally think the way to win this scenario is to stay grouped and aware of what's going on, you should never go try and capture something by yourself (except for that Level 11 WP/DoK that always rushes Lighthouse/Barracks at the start of every Nordenwatch ^^) or you'll most definitely get ganked. Ranged DPS and Healers should use the stairs to get on the top ramp of the fortress to have a nice range protection over melee. As for when your team is pushing the enemy's spawn, make sure you don't go too far out or those Champion guards will crush you (they have a nasty range). All in all, Nordenwatch is a very entertaining scenario, and a lot of my best early-game experiences come from it.

Next Week : The Temple of Ualatp, probably the most interesting PQ in the Land of the Dead.

-WAAAGH Well, Meteorfall.

It should also be noted that taking and holding the Fort contributes more points than holding both Lighthouse and Barracks combined. So often, Fort should be the primary point you should focus on, and Barracks/Lighthouse second depending on whether you are Destro or Order. ALWAYS fight on the flag, as fighting around it does not make it cap.

It's clearly the best scenario, until T4 and Battle of Praag imo, but it's really an exciting way to learn the group RvR in WAR !!! As said above : rush the fort and let 2 or 3 guies take the LH/Barracks first !!! it's really a pain when you come in 2nd at the fort cause there's obstacles for both sides !!! It's always the same ol thing : the first at the top of the hill is in a better position !
