these are names taken from the 5th edition wood elf army book for tt warhammer.
we heard a small clip in the voice recording video that sounded somewhat like a treeman, and was saying something about "war against the forest" or something like that. so i thought it would be a cool idea if this area of warhammer was ever made into a pve dugeon, then it would be awsome to see some of the tt item names in the game.
The Bow of Loren - This ancient and enchanted longbow is said to be strung with a single hair taken from the Head of Ariel, Queen of Loren. The wielder of the Bow of Loren is therefore considered the Fey Queen's champion upon the battlefield, striking dwon her enemies with unnaturally swift precision.
(for those of you who are interested in the TT effects, it allows the user to shoot as many times as they have attacks without the -1 per shot, its nasty when you stack attacks and magical arrows that ignore armor :D)
Blades of Loec - The swirling and delicate patterns inscribed into these matched swords assume a life of their own when sunlight falls upon them, dazzling and distracting the bearer's opponent.
(can reroll failed wound rollls)
The Callach's Claw - The Callach is a crone figure from Asrai (wood elf, non forest spirit) folklore, an aged and twisted spirit whose great delight is in suffering. This magical blade wails in dozens of insubstantial voices, each an echo of one of her victims.
(-1 leadership during combat phase if unit suffers a wound from an attacker with this sword)
The Hunter's Talon- Originally crafted from Altathir a master of the Waywatchers in ages past, this longbow has a gnarled and twisted appearance that belies the uncanny precision of which it is capable. (can target any model it can see if not using magical arrows for the shot, but suffers a -1 to hit on top of the regular -1 to hit if it uses this ability)
The Sword of a Thousand Winters (bet you thought i was going to say truths) - An unnatural chill resides within the steel of this sword, a terrible cold that burns flesh and freezes the blood - only the strongest of warriors can endure its touch. (every wound caused makes the wounded take a toughness test and if failed they lose 1 strength initiative and attack every failed test.
Rageth's Wildfire blades - When, drawn, the blades of these swords burn with a magical flame that cannot be extinguished. (attacks count as flaming)
Asyendi's bane - This light and elegant bow is exceptionally well crafted, enhancing the abilities of skillful archers. Legend has it, however, that a malicious spirit dwells within the body of the weapon, ever eager to punish its wielder if a shot misses its target. (can reroll missed shots, if the shot misses again you take a strength 3 hit)
thats all of them please tell me which you like and which you dont like. im not sure there will be a wood elf pve area or even treemen in the game. but if there are tell me which of these items you think you would like to see as loot rewards and any ideas for what sort of stats they would have.
