Will you be able to read the ToK while not logged in?

I would like this as well.
Perhaps Mythic might have a 'Player' site where you may read it.

..It depends what you mean. You mean, on the official WAR site? Like the armory is to WoW but, ToK style?

I think they said that they were looking in the it, and seeing if it was possible... but that was like, in october, so i don't know if they have decided something final. I doubt that they have though.

I can pretty much guarantee that the ToK information will be avliable on the internet on a spoiler type site. Personally I'm glad this information will be on the internet. It's a good place for players to track the in game lore and history.

Yep. I'd like to be able to see exactly what my character would be able to see ingame...without actually logging into the game as that character.

I'm sure it will be. But I'm talking about seeing my own ToK for my own character, the parts that I have unlocked and my quest logs, etc etc etc.

That would be cool. Like the Armory in WoW. The ToK in WAR. Would help coordinate adventuring and battles to know what you have done and/or what you are doing at the time.

Or they could give us the option to save it as a: .swf, .flv, .doc, .pdf, .html file and view it while offline. I think .swf embedded in a html file is the best way to go, because 98% of all PC users have flash player installed for their browser of choice.

And moderately easy to code. Shall we show up at a game system developer's house with tar and feathers? :p

Sorry, I was in a Disciple frame of mind when I wrote that post. Yes, yes, pie and cake would be better. We can use my sisters' poisons and mix them into the dough.. yes.. send the designers in a offline ToK coding frenzy.. YES!

I know I should've edited my last post, but I'm trying to draw attention to this.
Pending announcement of out-of-game website support (still unconfirmed), and the integration of the kind of database features discussed in our interview (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=128855) with producer Jeff Hickman, the Tome could change the way players relate to online worlds dramatically.
Taken from http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=129923&page=2.
Yay! :D

i believe, like the armory in WoW that only came to exist after some time the game was released, something like this for the ToK will exist some time after the game is release, simply because of resources and focus.
the short version is: its not too important so it will be put off for later (if they are even considering it)

I think it would be awesome to have a setup similar to WoW's or EVE's where you can find out information on your character while you're offline. In EVE you used it mostly to look at your skills to see when one's close to completion or to plan out according to what you already know.
I think it would be a small next step to have the information in your Tome available on the Herald or a character website of some kind. I would definitely want to sit and read the storyline while I'm not logging /played time.
