Konen pointed out that in Gamespot Interview 4 - (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/warha...ode=interviews) (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/warhammeronline/media.html?mode=interviews) at 6:52-6:54 there is a lion to the left of the screen that acts suspiciously like a pet.

What do ya'll think?

man, it is hard to say. It does look like a pet, but who knows.

Squid Herders gain new squigs as they level up. One would assume the white lion pet would also "age" up along with the elf character. That could be seen visually with different sizes. Squig herders get different looks as they level up, why cant a white lion player get different looks as they level up?

You know alot of players that will play them would like to see it age up with the character.

If that is a pet, I hope to God it's a placeholder model. It looks more like a Sabertusk (http://warhammervault.ign.com/screenshots/full_res.php?ss=57), so I'm guessing it's just an NPC. It should look like this (http://mythicmktg.fileburst.com/war/us/media/images/conceptArt/CnAT100732.jpg).

Gotta go with Okri here; that really looks like a Sabertusk...

Makes me wonder what the heck it was even doing there; they were fighting Shadow Warriors and archers, nothing looked to be controlling it... maybe they picked up a random mob somewhere during the playtime?

I think it is a Sabretusk since it looks about the same as the art piece you showed. It really doesn't look like a white lion at all. All it has in common with the white lion is that it is a large cat, nothing more.

Yep, that's a white lion of Ulthuan. If it doesn't look exactly like that, a white lion it isn't!

I have no idea what that thing in the video was, but I really, really doubt the White Lions would adopt any ol' cat.

Considering it's obviously part of the Dark Elf newbie area (the witch elf has like 4 skills) and they are fighting obvious NPCs it's probably just some critter that wanders those woods. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing White Lions enter the game, in fact I'm fairly sure that's what the career will be. This just isn't any hint and I doubt, not with all the leaks going on lately, they would put something that huge into the beta without announcing it first.

Maybe its the pet of this Shadow Warrior who is fighting there. ^_^
