Hi im relativly new to the community and have been looking around the sites to gain as much info as I can. I plan to cross post this msg in each respective forum and would like all your biased and unbiased views of the pros and negatives of the destruction tank careers.
That being said
Now from what ive gathered so far the Black Orc comes off as having the best physical tanking ability and the worst magic tanking ability. Also comes off as a higher damage class with the fact that its focused on engaging enemies one at a time.
It uses a combo builder system thats similar to rogues in WoW.
Chosen, comes off as medium tanking ability for both magic and physical attacks. Lower damage potential then the other two tanks but has aoes and is better at tanking multiple enemies. Makes up for most of its short comings with aoe debuffs and buffs.
Black Guard comes off as worst physical tanking ability but best magical. Also comes off as dealing the most damage for a tanker or simply has better damage bonuses vrs magic users. I dont know its mechanic yet but seems to be a one on one fighter like the black orc.
Now ive deicided I want to play a tank in WAR and looks and lore dont mean anything to me compared to whats the best for my play style. I want to have fun first and formost. I can grow to love the look or lore of a character as time goes on.
For my playstyle im more of spec all defense masteries and protect my buddies while beating on enemies. The overall objective and the long run are things I hold more important then the short view of just killing things as fast as possible and not helping any allies.
Like I stated previusly I would like the communitys opinion biased and unbiased on the merits and flaws of each.
