Which Pen and Paper world would you most like to see converted to a large scale MMORPG.

Ok, I kinda asked this question so that I can spout off, but Shadowrun. Man, I had soooo much fun running SR campaigns. Of course Warhammer, but we already have that. So what else? Earthdawn?

Call. Of. Cthulu.

Actually, maybe not. Best damn PnP ever. Might be a shame to convert it.

I was going to say it, Sov, though I'm sure you could have foreseen that. But yeah, that done right would successfully steal away my life and make me a hardcore MMO gamer.

I'd like to see a grand space opera made into a MMO, or a Spaghetti Western game. Pick your own system but the two I play with these settings are Alternity and Deadlands. I'd also like to see a post apocalyptic MMO, with the Mad Max/Fallout/Wasteland style. Again pick your own system. I'm not sure how well PnP RPGs port to games, since the infinite possibilities of PnP can't be reproduced in a game that is defined by game programmers.

CoC has a bunch of console games based off of it, at least. Eternal Darkness is the name of one of them, I think.

As for my choice... dare I say GURPS?

Inquisitor :D although it would make a better FPS than MMO....hmmm, maybe a MMOFPSRPG? Candidate for longest game description acronym?

ICE's "Rolemaster - Shadow World" -actually when I started playing DAoC I thought 'wow - they really got a lot of ideas from Rolemaster here :p '

I'd like to see a decent inquisitor rpg, I just got into the system and it's pretty cool.

MMOFPS... well, there're dozens of those. Of course, you don't level up or anything like that. And they're not called MMOFPS... But I think what you mean is a FPS, online, with RP elements, so you could grow more powerfull, have the same character everytime, etc. That would indeed kick .

Shadowrun or Mechwarrior

I suppose Paranoia would keep the PvP Griefers eternally happy, but since nobody survives past Infra-Red for long, the l33t / powergamer crowd would flee for the hills.

Thanks for that Vegetta, Mechwarrior. It would be an awesome MMO. Upgradeable mech's. Better weapons, massive sprawling lands and dense destroyed cities. Mechwarrior would be amazing.

Actally Planetside is a MMOFPS http://www.planetside.com. You do level up in it and everything is player controlled tanks, dropships, atvs, artillery, fighters.

It rules with 100's of people in each game and 3 sides in a allout planet war. FUN FUN FUN

I think Exalted would make a great MMO game. Over the top wuxia style action, and a very rich background already established.

Battletech would also make a very good MMO. Set it perhaps around the time of the Clan invasion, and you've a good 8 or 10 playable factions, not to mention mercenary units as well.

Planetside is a lot of fun, I've been playing it for a couple of years now. Its also going free soon (though your level is limited if you take that option).

I would like the see Warhammer Fantasy roleplay and now I am talking about the real WFRP not some Mythic version. I really hope the game will be as much MFRP as is possible.

Well, I'd like to see a decent Vampire adaptation.
And has anyone ever heard about this ancient Whit Wolf game called "Aeon"?

RIFTS would be quite a challenge, but very rewarding if it worked.

Mechwarrior would be awesome. If they ever did it again hopefully they get it right this time around.Hmmm DDO is comeing out soon. If you get the preorder box for 5 bucks you get 10 days of beta for free. I gottan 2 of them so far and had a blast. As to the Exalted mmo. They are trying to put out the exalted video for the 3rd time. (this time they went with a decent company) If it does well it might be cool for mmorpg not sure. A to vampire and werewolf sounds good but.....yeah we know players since some of us are them and it wouldnt be good in my opion lol. HMMMMMM well if ddo is good and holds up maybe they do a star wars d20 mmorpg. SWG had alot to be desired. ROLEMASTER anyone? Not sure if that would work or not :?:
