Number of times you've checked Beta Status

I check about once per week. Its pretty reasonable for me at least. Im going to check like crazy after they send out invites for those with the Boom comic code. =] 20% chance to closed beta here I come!

It is actually likely that

A) It is pseudo-random (meaning if anything in your computer's spec disqualifies you, you're not in it)

B) With the large number of people, you just didn't beat the odds.

Cold comfort though.

It is pseudo-random, if you watch one of Paul's video blogs he shows a list of people's names and the names at the top have the best computers I think, or atleast the closest type of computer to who they want in the beta.

I check barely ever because I don't care about Closed Beta that much. This is because I bought the CE edition so I know im 100% in Open Beta. And that...is all I really care about.

open beta will be the last testing period before release right? if so I expect open beta will start within the next couple of weeks if the games release is still planned to be released in fall of 08

I wonder if they log how many times each account is logged into and if that would play a roll upon entry, that dxdiag, and your write up. Or if they pay little to no attention to any of that and it's pretty much a lottery.
