Yulian Kuncheff asked: "How will the Magus mirror the Engineer? Will the Magus have Horrors that act like turrets?"

We got an extensive look at how the Dwarven Engineer plays, and you can expect that writeup sometime early next week. We're told that the Magus is indeed the Engineer's mirror, and will be summoning demons in much the same way the Engineer summons turrets. Instead of immovable constructs, though, the Magus' minions will be restricted to movement within a tight summoning circle. At their core, both classes are going for the same type of gameplay: ranged damage with a 'hold and defend' element.

Hold and defend, baby.

Hah! Aye. I can just see legions of dwarfs lining up around key points like the gates and such and the attackers having to wade through cannon balls!

This is exactly what I wanted to hear, I can't wait to start creating Kill zones around me :p.

That magus is the "defensive" range DPS while Bright Wizard is the very very offensive ranged DPS.

Hopefully that will lead to some interesting siege warfare between the Empire and Chaos. But fear not my Dwarven allies because I plan on fighting in your lands as my knight.

The Dwarfs and Chaos both have a generally defensive orientation.

Dwarfs seem to be more about supression and retribution, while chaos seems to be abit more about manipulation and exploiting opened weaknesses. Both styles fit well with their lore.

Each front is a bit different.

In the Dwarfs vs Chaos we see a defensive army vs a well rounded one.

In the Empire vs Chaos we see a highly offensive army against a defensive one.

With the Elves we see a well rounded army against a highly offensive one.
