I've noticed that in mmo's, more often then not, quests are just grinds given a name. this is why i liked runescape(kill me;)).
Now, aside from the public quests, are all quests just like "I dont like wolfs. I want you to kill 20 wolfs"?

Did you just take that quote from one of their podcasts?
Actually, there is quests like that, and their all pre-activated, so run around killing everything knowing that somewhere out there there is someone who don't like them and want them to die.
Also theres the exploration quests, quests you just stumble upon.
I like the quests in Runescape, RS is the best quest-game i have seen so far.

I'm wondering this aswell. I doubt they'll be the very linear quest such as:
"my daught died - go deliver these berries to old gerald"
"what does old gerald have to do with your daughter's death?"
"have you delivered those berries yet?"
DAoC had some amazing quests (in MMO terms), so I have some faith that they won't have that same-old-same-old feel. I remember reading that in one of the taverns you can provoke the patrons into creating a bar-brawl. And another stating that if you fail a certain quest (just the sheer fact you can fail them sounds interesting; maybe certain quest have different outcomes?), you get sent to a fighting pit, which obviously you have to fight out of to redeem yourself for your failure or somesuch.

Look up info on the Public quests, they seem the most fun to me. The psychology behind them is quite trickey, everyones working towards the same goal, everyone is helping eachother anyway so people tend to just naturally converge to one spot to group up for their common interest. Your allways on the same stage of the quest so theres no playing catch up and before you know it, even if your a die hard solo player who hates "Lfg" you find yourself grouped up and having a blast.
