New smiley for :p

I realize this is a very petty complaint, but hey, I'm at work with nothing better to do.

I dunno if this is only bugging me but I really don't like the :p smiley face for :P

It jsut doesn't look like he's sticking out his tounge. It's more liek he's just smiling. So I was wondering if it was possible to exchange it for another smiley which had a more distinct tongue.

PS: Yes, I realize I need to get a life. So you don't need to point it out :p

I agree, it just looks like an open mouth - but technically it doesn't really matter what it looks like, as long as you realize that that smiley indicates :P.

EDIT - I would like to see the face changed, but I have no idea how easy/difficult that would be. Unless it's fairly easy to change, I don't particularly mind the current one.

I'm actually quite shocked that we have two topics on this.

So what is it exactly that's not good enough? the angle of the tongue? the length of the tongue? perhaps the way the eyebrows are raised at a discerning angle? Or maybe... just maybe it's the way no matter what we changed or did, it wouldn't be good enough. We get requests for Warhammer orientated Avatars even when we already have them.

Seriously though: this place isn't about the smilies, it's about the written content. If you want oodles and oodles of smilies, perhaps one of which can meet your tongue expectations, then this isn't the place for it.

You could always link to the picture of the smilie you like.

At least this thread isn't another thread asking for custom avatars.

I'd love to know who "they" are. Please find a link and show me "they" saying this.

Personally, I like to think it's the way things are written and not the colourful little faces that make the fansite. No amount of rows upon rows of tiny graphics could possibly outdo the literate talent and effort put into a site.

Seriously, it took me about half a year frequenting message boards before I realized that the :p smiley was supposed to be sticking out it's tongue. It's just a open-mouthed smile. I just think I'll stick to using a capital P so it comes out in its original and unmistakable form :P
