I loved the EQ1 Shaman. This class looks really similar DD, Buff, Debuff, heal, and suposed to be good at all of it.

I honestly don't "know" but I suspect not even close. WoW Priest might be closer (cloth healer/nuker). Maybe AM will lay somewhere inbetween those two. I don't expect the soloing god status of the EQ Shaman, though.

how about soloing demi god status ;)

I prefer to group but with limited playing time I solo a lot.

I'm pretty sure every class is going to be designed to be solo friendly... and hopefully none of them being ridiculously head and shoulders above the rest. In this day and age of the MMO, I can't imagine any serious game repeating some of the worst mistakes in the past that occurred before anyone knew any better. I don't think any class will require a group to get anything accomplished like in EQ.

i wouldn't bet on it. not to say we won't have good soloability, it's just that pvp balancing in this game will take top priority. pve balance is secondary.

My understanding is that, for instance, an Isha/Vaul spec archmage will solo kind of like a holy priest did in WoW: every fight is long and drawn out as you outlast your target(s). If you were cool soloing that way, then I think you're right. No class will be unable to solo.

Couple that with the very low downtime, courtesy of very fast AP regen (8-9 seconds for a full bar I hear) and a lot of running around and CC, and yes. While soloing may be an exercise in patience for some classes, I bet it will be doable.
