Good finds. :) Although the link for number 3 seems to be off (although easily found if you view the Pbarnett playlist).

And any particular reason why there's no number 2 (I'm assuming the animation video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORZ-tyEehXU&mode=related&search=))? :p

Unapproved video's or viral marketing and keyword seeding at it's best. You decide.

Also, it's a man bag. Which as you know is one step away from a fanny pack. :|

Awesome vids, this is certainly the most entertaining game I've ever followed during it's development LOL.

Hm, I'd seen some of them before. I clearly remember seeing the squig vid. Anyway, in combat test 2, somone says he hasn't killed anyone because he's playing a healing tanker. Hmmm...

Read the full article here (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/article/war-news/paul-barnett-videos-the-lost-blogs.html).

He added more after your original post, some of them are older but some are new. Really good stuff.

I also found this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuYSBR9iigo&mode=related&search=) which I hadn't seen before. Just a long gameplay video, but very good.

Yeah I heard that as well. I never believed the idea there would be no healing classes in the game. There just won't be any classes that are full support and can't handle themselves in a fight. There will still be classes that are better at healing than others, which will make people call them support classes.

Yep and not to start trouble, that's exactly what I'm worried about. It's not Mythic that will make you into a "support class", it's your fellow players who will likely demand you do nothing but fill the support role. Heck, if you wanted to be an alarmist, you could say that video is evidence of it happening even in beta. Topic for another thread though.

Anyway, on topic, very interesting videos, I just wish the one with the career tree was oh god a few dozen pixels higher resolution, I couldn't get any of the names off the board even with the combined efforts of photoshop and paint shop pro. Filthy inadequate edge filters.

Filthy inadequate edge filters.Seriously. I bet there'd be alot of nice information if we could read all the stuff on the wall. Been trying myself but without much luck.

EDIT - I've been able to read some of the stats. Weapon Skill has been renamed Melee Skill, Ballistic Skill has been renamed Ranged Skill, and Intelligence seems to be crossed out (possibly renamed). Also, there's Strength and Willpower.

Well, I can't read the names either - but we can break down what we do see. And how that works.

Career Start

Row 1 - (Lists available starting careers)
Career A
Career B
Career C (This one says Buff ... tanker?)
Career D
Career E

Row 2
Career A - ACDE
Career B - ABDE
Career C - ABCE
Career D - ABCD
Career E - BCDE (Maybe it says marksman?)

Row 3
Career A - ADE
Career B - ABE
Career C - ABC
Career D - BCD
Career E - CDE

Row 4 (Ah, things get interesting!)
Career A now has two options open to it - the left one I can't quite make out, but I'm 99% sure the right one says Judicial champion.
Career B appears to say Theogenist(?) on the left.
The right option for each career has the inital letter next to it. This may be just to make sure you didn't get lost in the chart, or maybe some sort of specialization?

I'm guessing that at each stage you'll be able to choose a letter, but based on your previous choices the letters you can choose are narrowed down. If you always choose the same letter you hyper specialize (Judical champion as the example - which would be an A A A A). But, if you choose A as your initial career you can also mix and match.

What does this mean?

Lets think of it like this, (keep in mind, this is all guessing, a sample career chart not neccesarily real, and they'll be different for all races. So enjoy!)
A - Melee DPS
B - Healer
C - Buffing
D - Magic (AoE or whatever)
E - Targeted range dps

Career A
So, if you choose DPS as your intial career, you can never be a healer. But you'll be able to provide some group buffs (very few, as they lose the option of C in the third tier), some AoE effects (taunts, whirlwind attacks, etc.), and be able to use ranged weapons. (?)

Career B
If you're a healer, you'll be able to do DPS (clerics are rough and tough in the warhammer world), no chance to be a buffer (your group participation comes from healing), limited AoEs (maybe only a few heals, and holy blasts, or whatever), but consistant directed DPS - turning undead, banishing demons, etc.

Career C
If you start as a "buffer", you don't get AoEs, and only limited ranged DPS - but you've got the option to be a strong melee DPSer, or a backup healer.

Career D
AoE - this feels more and more like the "Wizard" as I look at it. (But a different spin on it) They've got the chance for healing, buffing, and more AoEs - but they can only choose melee dps for the initial category (after all, a mage is good but not great with a sword). Oddly, they don't have any "targeted ranged DPS" as I've categorized it - but I'd say that's overcome by their extremely powerful AoE.

Career E
Finally you have the Ranged DPSer - mister keeps his distance. He has NO melee dps(A) - the only class to have that distinction. He only has limited healing, but he can provide buffs or AoEs. (Buffer probably includes debuffs... so this could be things like poisons on his shots to slow approaching enemies, or whatnot)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's how I see it.

It may be total BS, but I think it could work.

This seems to be a wallchart about the Empire. One of the Empire zones is Nordland, either Tier 2 or 3 (hard to see).

Great stuff. This seems to fit very closely with everything we've heard so far about how careers will work in WAR.
It may be total BS, but I think it could work.
8) True, this could have been filmed a couple of days before all those wall charts were ripped up and thrown away because after a bit more work on the design they realised that the whole thing was as much use as a chocolate teapot.
