After a long and arduous struggle between many a class between order or destruction, I have found my new home; a Rune Priest!

This is not in light of the changes to hammerer, I have always played a healer/support and have excelled at it in many MMOs, which is funny because my personality and what I think is cool always leans towards something like a Choppa, but I just love healing.

Recently for the first time I decided to play a DPS class in the launch of AoC, which was a bad idea, just like the game. I currently am a leader of an already top server guild experiencing T2 endgame, but always just to pass the time before WAR comes out ( since we were supposed to be creating a guild in WAR, but ported it to AoC, but shhh don't tell my guildies! ).

Anyways, at first it was a Black Guard, then Disciple seemed like a good idea, after that came Black Orc, followed by an Arcmage, White Lion ( on release of course ), after that there was Warrior Priest ( but that's going to be madly over played ) but then Rune Priest popped into my mind ( all before the cut classes mind you ) after a few days the thought of being a Dwarf Priest REALLY grew on me hardcore, and here I am more sure than any other class I have been, that I want to stick to my roots, and what better way to be stubborn than to be a DWARF!

Moral of the story, Dwarves really grow on you.

Well it is shaping up to be a great class - so welcome to the fold.

Order I feel will have a hard time in game, and will need to be more skilled than the massed ranks of Destruction players queing to join the "better side" for thier easy mode ;)

So polish your staff, practice your runes and join the fray attempting to stem the foul stench of the Destruction hoards.

Your story sounds kinda like mine, and i agree. Dwarfs grow on you.

After getting hyped for different classes for a while i chose Hammerer again, and the dwarves and their lore really grew on me. Now that hammerer is gone i look into different dwarven classes and they sound interesting but i dont like the looks at all. The IB has in my opinion no l33t armor and their shields seem way to big for them. Runepriests are rlly the class id like to play(healer with overall buffs) but imo they dont look even a bÃt "cool" in anyway. Engineers have turrets (/drool) an bombs, but if i play RDPS i like to be a magic one. that leaves me with other order classes but empire and high elves dont appeal to me at all.

I guess im rolling destruction after all..

(Yes i know i can (maybe) play a hammerer some time after release, but i like to play my main from the beginning)

However, I feel like the greenskins got a huge blow with cutting out the Orc Choppa ( probably one of the most popular classes ), but with the unpopularity of Dwarves, the best I could hope for would be that maybe that would balance out our pairing population.

I mean is it because of sex appeal? I mean we are playing a fantasy game, not an online dating service.

Hell I have been in all dwarven guilds that kicked arse in other MMOs, and were always turing away members due to too many in the fold.
So I find it odd that Dwarves are the least popular. I think the human races are the least appealing IMO. They are basically what we are day in and day out, hard to imagine enjoying a fantasy based game with a vanilla race. :p

Well I think the dwarfs are hot!

Well, as a Dark Elf, I hate when people roll DE just for the freaking sex appeal. Know not all of us are like that. To be honest, I would of rolled a Dwarf had my friend not been rolling Chaos. Dwarves rule! I dunno if I could bring myself to kill one of you.

I love engineers for their booms. :D Its just a double bonus that they happen to be Dwarfs, the greatest race.

im certain im going to be a dwarf, but i am having a hard time picking between the now three classes. does anyone have a link to some pictures of higher tier runepriests? all the shots i have seen have been the exact same clothes except different colors; red, green, and grey. i would love to see what i could expect to see eventually if a rolled a rune priest intot he upper tiers.

Hey, good news. I think I've convinced my girlfriend to play WAR, and I told her that she would make a beautiful runepriest. So now I've got my own pocket healer! :D
