So wondering for those going either Full RP or just Light what Province do you plan on having your Swordmaster come from?

I've actually been going over this question in my head so many times. The province you come from would tend to influence the attitude and personality of your High Elf, Swordmaster or not.
To be honest, I don't know at this stage....would possibly like a hand or something...been thinking of Ellyrion, Yvresse or Saphery. Can't pick between those three. xD

Same situation here. And I am new enough to the lore to not really know about the various provinces. Could anyone kindly post a bit about each, and how attitude might be influenced? :)

Nagarythe- Mostly destroyed and broken lands, people there have a very wary attitude towards most of the other High Elves, as other Elves assume they're related to the Dark Elves, as that's where they're originally from (in the game this is known as the Shadowlands, if you're searching for it.)
Chrace: Rugged mountainous region, under constant assault by Dark Elf landing parties.
Elves there are (well, for an elf at least) more wild and outdoorsy, kind of like a mountain biker or something.
Ellyrion: The Plains, land of horses and yellow grass. I wouldn't act like a cowboy or anything of that sort if you're from this region, but you would definately have some horsemanship experience.
Avelorn: Enchanted forest zone. The Everquuen resides here, not really sure if you can pin an attitude associated with this area.
Saphery: The land of magic. If you're from here, you will likely have some experience in the magical arts, and for a swordmaster, that's not a bad thing. The White Tower of Hoeth, which every swordmaster trained at, is here, nice and close to home.
Yvresse: Very cold and rocky land of fjords and fog. Imagine it like Finland or Sweden, in terms of weather. People here tend to be a bit grim.
Tiranoc: Like Nagarythe, it was a once prosperous kingdom that now lies mostly beneath the sea. Once famed for it's chariots. I'd imagine people here would have that, sense of pride of times past, and a longing for those days to return.
Caledor: Like Chrace, a very mountainous region, although it is much more sparesly populated compared to Chrace. The Dragon Princes are from this region, and are typically very arrogant.
Eataine: The most prosperous of the provinces in Ulthuan, thanks to the port Capital of
Lothern. If you're from this area, you're likely to be quite arrogant, even by elven standards, due to your high status of living in the richest of the elven lands.
Cothique: Coastal region with rough seas, the people here tend to be hardly sailor-like folk (again, thinking in relativity to Elves here, not humans) and are masters of the sea. They will likely have experience battling sea creatures and some sailing experience if they're from this region.
And, I think that's it. Hope this helps some people in their descision. If I'm inaccurate, tell me and I'll edit it.

For me it doesn't really matter, I picked Avelorn because it is sounds cool and it matches my name ^^ What do you think to 'Aerelon The Grand Protector of Avelorn'

Mine will definately be from Saphery, my Swordmaster is going to have a Noble and honorable upbringing and has more of a focus on the understanding of magic then most swordmasters so I beleive this birth place fits well as the home of the Tower of Hoeth. Can't wait to play!

Saphery. My TT army is based around a sapherian noble family and I'll remake atleast a few from that family ingame :)

Caledor - about the only place i know and is most heavily related to dragon.
An interesting thing i found about elves and dragon, or rather darkelves, is dragon in germen is Drache, and darkelf in the game are Druchii. Yes im 200% for dragon, id give up my sword and fight naked to be with one.
no joke ^.^
in conclusion, from Caledor ~.~

Yvresse, cold harsh regions seem to produce cold harsh warriors... remorsless unforgiving.

Interesting, I didn't know there was a particularly cold region for High Elves, those tend to be the places that suit me perfectly. That depends on whether or not Caledor impresses me in-game, though.

Thank you for the wonderful overview Tantaeluth (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/member.php?u=29545). Seeing as I'm a WAR lore noob myself I found it very informative.
Personally I'd choose Ellyrion.

Some classes can choose where they originally hail from, atleast from a lore perspective.
Archmages and Swordmasters are both trained in Saphery, but don't need to use this region as birthplace.
White Lions are from Chrace, there is no lore that supports them in hailing from anywhere else.
Shadow Warriors are from Nagarythe, end of story.

My SM will be from...
Southern Alabama.. when he was a child he was heckled for looking and talking like a homosexual. One night when he was nerding it up playing with his 7 foot sword someone broke into his home. Killed his parents then the dude fell down the stairs and broke his neck... My SM then on the way to the hospital got by a paramedic, hence why he know runs around at local Renascence fairs and wields a giant 7 foot looking sword. The end...
Oh he also plays and paints miniature action figures and throws dice to discover the outcome at a 48 hr Warhammer convention at a game shop.
