From the General News category we have: WAR Pre-Order FAQ
Below are some frequently asked questions concerning pre-order offers, we will continue to update this page as with answers to your questions.
I live in Canada how can I pre-order? You can pre-order your copy of WAR from FutureShop, EB Games Canada, the EA Store (http://www.eastore.com/) and other fine game retailers.[/URL]
Where are my codes when I pre-order online?: Each retailer may do it differently, we have no control over the distribution of their codes to pre-order customers. However, you will generally receive a separate email specifically containing your codes (in some cases I've seen it take a few days). Please do not contact EA Mythic Customer Support concerning this - you must contact your retailer as we will be unable to assist you further.
What is the difference between Closed Beta and Open Beta? The Closed Beta Test is an invite-only program protected by a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in which a select portion of the community is chosen to test the beta version of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning and offer feedback directly to the development team via in-game tools and private message boards. During our Open Beta, we open testing up to a much larger audience. However, unlike many traditional "Open Betas," WAR will only be available to a limited number of players (including pre-order customers). Stay tuned for more details concerning the WAR Open Beta and ways in which you can get in.
Do I need my CE Product Key the day the game launches?: While we encourage you to get your WAR product key as soon as possible, we will provide a reasonable grace period for players to get a hold of their copies and have uninterrupted service following the Live Game Head Start.
What if I already pre-ordered?: Prior to March 26, 2008 no pre-order programs have been supported by EA Mythic. Please check with your retailers for full details. Current pre-order offers are only valid with the Collectors Edition.
Keep an eye out for updates!

Does that mean onle CE's are supported by mythic after march 26, or all preorders?

I think it might be saying that the people who got CE keys with SE preorders need to go in and exchange the CE codes for SE codes in order for things to work? if not that then I dunno.

As I understand it:
If you preordered ANY edition of Warhammer Online before March 26th, 2008, you need to follow up with your retailer. Nobody was authorized to begin preorders until that date, so you shouldn't have been allowed to preorder. Check to make sure you have your access keys and for confirmation you now have an actual copy (of the Collector's Edition) preordered.
If you have a STANDARD Edition preordered at this time, you technically don't, since retailers aren't supposed to begin taking preorders for the STANDARD Edition yet. If you "have", you need to follow up with your retailer now and when the STANDARD Edition preorder program is announced.
If you have a COLLECTER'S Edition preordered at this time from one of the retailers found on these pages:
North America (http://www.warhammeronline.com/ce_preorder/)
Canada (http://www.warhammeronline.com/faq/index.php#ans4a)
EU (http://www.war-europe.com/#/event/?lang=en)
Australia (http://www.warhammeronline.com/aus_ce_preorder/)
New Zealand (http://www.warhammeronline.com/nz_ce_preorder/)
then you are set.
Edit: It's up to you to get the keys for the (correct) edition you ordered from your retailer. If you got something you shouldn't, or didn't get something you should have, its you and your retailer. There were a few mentions that EA and Mythic might try and follow up with some of the larger outbreaks of swapped keys and that sort of thing, but the FAQ clearly states it's up to you, as the buyer, to get what you paid for from whoever sold it to you.
Hopefully the above is correct and clears up any confusion.

This FAQ seems very, very oddly worded to me. Considering I just picked up my Standard Edition pre-order kits complete with cards, game deck, and promotional box from Gamestop, and that they're claiming the bonuses are only for the Collector's Edition when it is clearly stated on these boxes they are for Standard Editions, something smells funny.

Its the game store employees, they are probably the most retarded people to ever get a job. They know absolutely nothing about anything, all they know how to do is take money and give you a game. They get told all the right stuff, but all they can remember is "these special cards go with warhammer"

That's pretty much about it.
Asking them anything more complicated than "do you have any more copies of ___ in stock?" causes them mental anguish.

It is pretty easy... :P
Did you pre-order before 26 march 2008? Contact your retailer to see if you got ed
Have you ordered from the shops listed on the official site? No problem
Have you ordered from another shop, who is not on the list and you still don't have your codes? Go contact the retailer, you might be screwed
And I have never heard mythic say anything about a pre-order edition for the SE. But maybe I have missed something.
If you live in the Netherlands, I recommend you to order your CE at bol.com. Ordered it there, had my codes the next day :)

QUESTION:
Are all collector edition pre-order sold out?
I have been looking to order one from the "offical" sellers now for a few weeks, and cannot find them.
If they are sold out, does that mean pre-ordering a STANDARD version doesn't give me anything special.

Most are preordered, but chances are if you find one you arent getting codes, because all the retarded employees at the game stores gave out codes when people ordered normal edition, because they are stupid and dumb etc...

The Collector's Editions likely won't be "sold out" until Mythic announces that they are. In their last few appearances, Mythic still thought they had a few left (1-2 weeks ago). They might be sold out, or you might be able to keep looking and hoping for the best.
As far as pre-ordering a Standard version goes, it'd be best to wait until the official pre-order program for those is announced so you know what all is included.
If you'd like more information on what is currently being tossed about as benefits for the Standard Edition Pre-order, and the Pre-order Program itself, check out this post (http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1025187&postcount=1). You can read the rest of the thread if you want, but all of the info is in Avien's original post. (If you want to discuss the issue referenced in the title of that thread, please do so in that thread, since taking it here will likely get you an infraction or suspension.)

Futureshop has Collector's Edition available for pre-order. I ordered mine earlier today. However, I'm extremely confused about whether or not I'll be getting the codes offered.
Mythic's site does NOT list Futureshop within the list for the Ring items. I'm hoping this is an oversight?
Also, this is the first mention of Futureshop as a pre-order site....

I barely got my pre-order eariler in the day when EA sold out themselves. Does anyone know for sure of a store supported by Mythic that has any pre-orders left? I had a buddy who missed out by a day and wanted one.

Ok so after reading this I understand the difference between CE and the SE I bought from Best Buy about a week ago. It came with a card with codes listed on it but when I traveled to the beta center site to enter them it said invalid. I believe this being becuase it is before the actualy date (15 Aug) that I can enter them. My question is this, when 15 Aug rolls around, I will enter my code and be given a HTTP site to DL or the torrent that everyone is using now and if the torrent, can I dl the files now to save the time?
