I'm in, but at the current rate, uTorrent informs me I won't have the entire client for about 1 year and 37 days. I suspect beta will be over by then.

Since Mark said that CE holders would be getting CB invites and CE people are getting invites to something, gonna go ahead and say CB. On top of that, Open Beta wouldn't have a system requirement to be chosen to play in OB, you simply enter the codes on August 15th to make an OB account.

The usual; check the ports your torrent client is using and make sure they are open on your firewall/router. Speeds are pretty varied ( as high as 200 as low as 20 for me).

Might be an all nighter type thing for most.

I have a high end system myself. Top of the Line Alienware Laptop less than a year old.

I didn't get in this round either but hey, from what I am seeing a bunch of folks are bottle necked at the Client DL.

And even still if you have it, what good is it with out the actual servers up?

Most of my specs are fine, good graphics card, lots of RAM. But I have AMD Athlon 64 3500+, which is marked at like 2.2GHz in dxdiag. Hope that doesnt effect me getting in. I just assumed, I run Crysis/Halflife 2 fine shoul dbe ok to handle Warhammer? Yeah I'm thinking mroe people need to adjust their upload speeds. I'm on a 25mb / 3mb Circuit and I'm Downloading at about 3/4 the speed I'm uploading.

IN order to make my experience with WAR even more annoying, I talked to customer service at Best Buy and they informed me that they are not shiping the CE codes till the 17th of this month. Thats slightly better then EA Store that just refuses to answer my questions. Guess ill have to wait another week due to wrong decisions about not ordering from amazon.com.

I mean the best buy pre order keys are good because you can enter them on website and they change your account to collectors edition pre-order, I dont know what you mean by shipping the codes. Anyhoo, even once you DL the client now no ones gonna get in till after the 15th id imagine. THey are just letting people start DLing it now so the bandwidth wont be overloaded if they release it to DL to everyone all at once. Probibably gonna see more and more people get in all next week leading up to 15th so most people will have the client downloaded by the time they can login to the beta.

The Europeans get a box with the code, Americans just get the paper. If your comp specs are good, and you're 18+ expect a beta soon, wether today, tomorrow or the next day, if ever (might slip through the cracks) I dont know.

Ok, so a question... I pre-ordered my CE from Gamestop, and I have the Rave card that has the 3 codes on it (Open Beta, Head start, Bonus Items).... But when I go to create the EAMythic account so I can add my codes, I try all 3, and none work... all I get is Invalid Code... Do I have to wait for an email from Mythic that will tell me I'm invited and give me a Beta code, or what? I'm not sure I've got this understood...any help is appreciated :D

Also, I haven't updated my DXDiag for a long time, but nothing's changed, and I'm WAY in there on the specs :

So its a decent machine but its no beast.

I'm sure it was probably random or it could have been based on when the pre-order was made since I ordered mine the first day or it could have been a combination of things.

At any rate, just be patient, if you have the CE and the association on the beta center page I'm sure your invite is forthcoming and by the time you get it, you'll have at least one seeder for the download because I intend to leave mine up to help out.

Will that in any way make me not eligible for this CE invite? I remember mythic stating that it takes about a month for them to update a Dxdiag folder on there side. So i was just curious.

yea im from germany too , no invite yet.Atleast we are good to pay the fee's i choose to play on a EU/EN server because i like the people there. But i have never ever been treated like that, i played WoW EU / Rangarok online EU and FFXI US but this feels like, its the way they tread us and we got to liv with that :/.
It would be nice to see the download to prepare. Its not that fun to see other people play while you are still download.

If you entered any codes into the betacenter then there should be some thing there that says some thing. Either CE pre order or Wahammer Pre order. If you did not enter any codes then you have nothing tagged onto your account.

I'm thinking he is right if only for the fact that MBJ hasn't commented on it. There have been people asking this very question in many different threads across this and other boards, and he remains silent. Instead, he answers questions about obvious things that have been answered time and time again.

Just got my invite this morning and began the download. If anyone is curious, I pre-ordered my CE through Amazon on 4/1/08 and registered the code on the site that day. :D It's a pretty slow download, but if I have to leave it on for the new few days, so be it.

Better not be I spent a few hundred bucks upgrading for WAR and I am sure my system is now above whatever the lowered beta requirements are (especially since I've found posts by some people saying they are in beta that have a worse system than my upgraded one.)
