I have CE and $800 system and no beta invite? :/

Well, i got over the fact I didnt get into any sort of closed beta, even though i have been a loyal DAOC subscriber since 2001.. I even tried, albeit pitifully, to write some stories for the newsletter/website to win a beta invite.

'But now i have my CE edition and my new computer system, which is definitely up to par (Gforce 9800gtx, e8400 duo core 3.0ghz, 4gb ram blah blah blah) and STILL no beta invite? Spent $800 on this less than a month ago, and it should have been more but im rebate-a-holic and sale-a-holic, so system is actually worth a lot more.


What gives with this? :/

Yesterday, invites were being received well into the night. So, yours might still be coming still.

i don't think it has a lot to do with your system, it may just be random - or it could be as complex as the fact that in daoc i had two max lvl healers and they're banking that i'll be testing out the healing archtype classes and need people to do that.

the point is that nobody outside mythic knows the logic behind invites, it's probably just a completely random selection process, just be patient.

i also recognize that this is easier for me as i got my invite and have the program installed and patched - stupid servers need to get up and running ;-P

Has any invites even been received recently? Like the past 30minutes or so? The time when most people got it today was around 3pm-4pm EST and Herald said this was the last wave. And it was going late into the night last night because it started around 10pm EST.

Your system has nothing to do with invites... a friend of mine got into beta about a month ago... and his comp is crap compared to mine i just got invited saturday and im still sitting at %72 with downloads... /sigh

Nope at least i know its not that logic as then my rr9 cleric and rr8 healer would have qualified me? Isnt on casters either cuz my rr9 sorc and rr9.9 enchanter would have got me in there..

Hmm my infil is ojnly rr6 maybe they want rr8++ stealthers only in beta? :)

just annoyed is all because I really wanted to get into beta itself, because DAOC is really the only game i come back to and am really excited about WAR. And they should just invite me already, because either way they will get my money, if WAR sucks its back to DAOC with myself again.

A few points.

I know many of you are frustrated that you didn't meet our requirements for these invite waves. It's nothing personal but we have to maintain certain rules in order to ensure a solid Beta experience.

In addition to system requirements we also check for press or industry relations, I know some of you have contacted me, telling me this was in error. Unfortunately we cannot prove who is or who isn't so we have to deny access to anyone who declared themselves as such. This is the most common issue for players who state they have high system specs and have not been invited (that and people who used their work pc/laptop to post their dxdiag and not their main rig). And we really appreciate your understanding.

Preview weekend isn't that far away, nor is Open Beta, or even launch for that matter. You'll be getting your WAR fix in no time.

Your excitement is contagious and we've all got cabin fever as we scream WAAAGH!!! towards the finish line.

While things might not always go perfectly we're all in for an awesome time and I can't wait to share in your stories and meet you on the battlefield

its luck. And you just got the bad luck of the draw. Little kiddies who picked up the beta just because it looked like a WOW game, threw away their beta after 1 day of playing and saying "this is lame".


Its not really your fault or luck's fault, its just they have a horrible system / filter for picking who gets in and who doesn't.

God! Stop it with these theards already! Lots of people did not get in! Why does every single person that didnt get in have to make a thread QQing about it?

"Ohhh i have a system WAY over the system reqs" or "Ohhh ive been signed up for over a year" is waiting another week or so going to kill you? seriously, WE GET IT ALREADY!
